No element of the gameplay is particularly mind-blowing, while in return nothing about the game is poorly designed whatsoever.

But you can't deny that Crash Bandicoot's graphical qualities are one of the best we've seen from a game of this genre.

The colorful characters and environments will thrill young eye candy junkies while the ease of difficulty will give younger gamers a confidence boost because they'll be able to see a lot of what this game has to offer.

A great game for the kids, or maybe just the kids at heart.

Although the game is able to provide players with a diverse array of gameplay modes and even some surprisingly heavy platforming elements, they all eventually wear thin. Even so, the game's cohesive sense of humor keeps the game entertaining.

The racing isn't exactly the star of the show, but Crash Tag Team Racing's supplemental elements pull the whole thing together into a unique and mostly enjoyable experience.

It's very easy to win races, even on the Hard difficulty setting, the platforming sections offer no real challenge, and the fun to be had from blowing up opponents when you've clashed your kart wears thin after a while.

Admittedly broken down into its individual aspects Crash Tag Team Racing comes up a little short, however the overall game gels the pieces together to create an entertaining experience for young and old alike.

Mini-games are a blast! I think I ended up playing them more than the actual racing.

While the racing is good rather than great, see it as just part of the game's charm and CTR makes for a fun family treasure box.

There is definitely a lot to do between the different modes of play, and the cartoony element of the whole game is always entertaining.

Shoddy camera in amusement park mode, lots of cliched gameplay.

While the cars could use a greater sense of mass, it's smooth racing with a decent framerate even when things on the track get hairy (and this is when they're most fun).

While it is honorable that it at least attempts to make an interesting piece of a game, with platforming and racing mixed together and a nifty clashing element thrown in, the core gameplay just isn't strong enough to really make this terribly memorable.

Compared to all of the other racers out there--kart, arcade, or simulation--it's definately at the bottom of the list.

What they've done is mash together a platform/coin-collecting game with a plodding kart-combat racer, then grafted on some escaped-from-a-cell-phone minigames. It's a Frankensteinian mess.
