Crash Team Rumble from Toys For Bob is quite fun. It features a balanced system of gameplay, some fun characters with unique gameplay styles, and a nice set of maps that complement strategy and quick gameplay. The leveling system may work its way to max quickly, but it doesn’t detour how much entertainment you’re going to get from this title. The biggest concern with this game is longevity and variety. It’s nice that Toys For Bob laid out a roadmap to tame some of this worry, something most companies don’t do well nowadays, but only the future seasons will tell the dedication to the title.

Crash Team Rumble is a fun and unique 4v4 competitive game that is able to create something new and ludicrously fun out of the existing franchise mechanics. While I've played a ton and have not tired of the game, there is only one real mode, which might impact the game's longevity. Still, the game is deceptively deep and strategic, with teams needing to think and react quickly to be successful. Regardless of how long it's around, right now Crash Team Rumble is great for a blast of gaming fun for the whole family.

I friggin' loved my time with Crash Team Rumble and I plan on playing it much, much more. Although I was a bit hesitant at first, the amount of strategy that you can incorporate allows this frantic multiplayer game to really shine battle after battle.

While I feel the live service elements are out of place, I ultimately can't hate the final product. Crash Team Rumble is a blast, one that's easy to learn and hard to put down.

Crash Team Rumble could be viewed as the natural progression of difficulty in the Crash Bandicoot franchise. It takes an entirely different type of preparation and offers a different reward, though. Crash Team Rumble's take on multiplayer platforming madness is unique, with enough depth to keep you on your toes after hours of gameplay. Those searching for a fresh take on the long-running series should give it a try.

Crash Team Rumble is a pick up and play multiplayer game that is shockingly fun. It gives players freedom while encouraging teamwork, with a variety of stages and characters. It has quirks and imbalances, but you’re never too far from the next match or unlockable.

Crash Team Rumble is an experiment with the Crash Bandicoot brand that went very well. No match is the same as the last, and there is a prevailing sense of fun. Not to mention, there are plenty of incentives to keep you playing. However, as a fully multiplayer title, only time will tell if it will last or be forgotten.

More characters and maps are planned for the future, but some players may not feel motivated to keep playing once they completed the season tiers until there’s something new in the game to work towards. Still, Toys for Bob should get a lot of credit for making a competitive multiplayer platformer that not only works, but is fun to play.

Crash Team Rumble is an extremely fun 4v4 multiplayer experience, with
plenty of maps and heroes that the fans are definitely going to enjoy.
It has one issue, though: it should be free-to-play, as most of these
games are. It could be a huge hit if it was available without the price
tag, but as it is now, it's probably going to be limited to some Crash
lovers.

It's hard to predict how Crash Team Rumble ends up in six months, but I hope it's still around, and the team is able to just facilitate what is working without corporate meddling. Whether or not enough people feel like spending $30 minimum to stick around and find out is up in the air.

Activision and Toys for Bob have known perfectly how to make a new Crash video game that is out of the ordinary, both for new fans and for those who have known the marsupial since its inception. Although its little content and some problems make the experience look somewhat stained, but it is a game that will easily give you hours of fun.

A surprisingly fun platformer that excels with its variety of characters and levels. The gameplay also has enough depth making it an entertaining title to play. However, there are some balance issues and modes that are sparse, as well as some connection issues. A few things to consider, but that does not take away from the fact that in terms of gameplay it is an ideal game for quick battles to kill some time.

Crash Team Rumble is a surprisingly great multiplayer. The simple premise is compelling and fosters a more-ish cycle. Each of the characters is well-designed and gives gameplay options that allow you to strategize during bouts. The lack of single-player content, multiplayer modes, and the inclusion of a battle pass is disappointing, however, the core gameplay is a ton of fun and is definitely worth a spin.

Time will tell if this is a game you should buy. For now, it really is a fun, easy-to-pick game, but its lack of content may discourage many players.

Crash Team Rumble's greatest achievement is also its greatest flaw: its own nature of a paid multiplayer game — without any single player content — forces fans to hope for a commercial success to have the right long term support.

A surprise I never thought would work so well. Kinda like the Wumpa Bazooka, it doesn't make sense, but somehow, it just works!

Crash Team Rumble is definitely a friendly, fun to play and accessible multiplayer game, no doubt about it. This new formula in the universe of the saga works rather well and we play games with pleasure, before coming face to face with content that is a little too thin to last over time: a single game mode, it's ultimately too little despite the specificities of each card and characters... we would have liked more of them too. So no, Crash Team Rumble is not a failure at all, but we especially hope that it will become denser over future seasons, because its potential is just waiting to be exploited more.

Ask yourself: have you long wondered what a competitive multiplayer Crash Bandicoot game would be like? If the answer is yes, then you should probably give Crash Team Rumble a try, especially given its budget price. Crash Bandicoot fans with open minds might also want to dip their toes in – there’s fun to be had, after all. But to really draw players in, we can’t help but feel that this would have been better off as a free-to-play title.

Crash Team Rumble delivers a solid base and fun gameplay, but the lack of modes and content make it less appealing, at least, at launch.

Crash Team Rumble is fun and undeniably based on a good idea, since it tries to translate the classic platforming of Crash Bandicoot into a whole new multiplayer experience, however the absence of other modes and heroes, and mostly a lot of balance issues, deeply affect the outcome of the experiment crafted by Toys for Bob.
