The game is constructed on a solid engine, offers exceptional gameplay, and has some of the best graphics seen in any DC title to date. While the game doesn’t make the revolutionary leap many fans were looking for, what’s here is rock solid.

It’s just a little too frustrating without adding anything that’s really all that new – the Crazy Hop doesn’t really fundamentally alter the game all that much, meaning the game feels more like a Crazy Taxi map add-on pack than anything else.

Crazy Taxi 2 may have new gameplay mechanics, new cities, and new mini-games than Crazy Taxi but that doesn't make it better than the original. And like I said above, there are some controls issues that I noticed, but that really doesn't effect the enjoyment of the game.

An improvement over the original, then. But with still only two areas to choose from and no multi-player mode (an obvious way to improve on the first game that should have been included), it does have a problem with its lifespan.

The game's "more of the same" feel will ultimately prevent it from achieving the same status as the original, but when the original was so much fun, "more of the same" can't possibly be bad.

Just as much fun as the first game. While it would have been nice to see some slightly more drastic changes to the Crazy Taxi formula, fans of the original will immediately feel right at home with Crazy Taxi 2.

A great game. It takes everything you loved about the first game and adds even more. The new courses are great, and the addition of the Crazy Hop does wonders in terms of opening up the gameplay.

It’s hard not to love CT2, but it’s harder to like it as much as the original.

The best addition is definitely the new multi-passenger fares you can pick up, adding a new, and quite difficult challenge to your taxi driving skills as you try to beat the timer while delivering up to four passengers to different locales.

Slightly improved graphics, thoughtfully designed new cities, and two new gameplay modes make CT2 feel more like an add-on than a full sequel. Still, it's an add-on to one of the Dreamcast's best games.

Unfortunately, the game's graphics are about the same as its predecessor's, and no multiplayer split-screen or online modes are offered.

Even if it doesn't offer the most innovative gameplay, you're still guaranteed hours of mayhem-filled fun.

Another excellent game.

Sort of like asking how much better is a bottle of Pepsi than a can of Pepsi. Sure the bottle is bigger, it offers you more, it looks slightly different but in the end it tastes the same.

As great a game as the original, but like the first one, the ride only lasts for so long before it gets repetitious.

But even with its faults, Crazy Taxi 2 still managed to give me quite a "been playing waaay too long" gaming blister. Frantic driving action in a huge city is still a thrill and fans will still love every minute of it.

Unfortunately its new innovations and features aren’t worth the sticker price. The game’s hardly a lemon, but it can’t quite make it off the test drive rental lot.

Feels more like Crazy Taxi 1.5 than a full sequel. The same basic, addictive formula is present, but for some reason it just doesn't feel as exciting or challenging as the original.
