Playing CreaVures is like taking a leisurely stroll through the woods. There's very little intensity, but it's damn beautiful at times.

CreaVures is a fun platformer that reminds us somewhat of Lost Vikings. All of the creatures have unique specialties that must be combined in order to reach the end of a level. Although the puzzles aren't too intelligent and you'll have gone through all of the areas in the nick of time, CreaVures is still one of the most fun indie-games of the last three months.

More often than not, though, the game feels hobbled by irksome jump and swing mechanics, and merely getting around always feels far more of a faff than it probably should.

It feels like a four-hour tutorial to a game that might have used its mechanics better, never trusting its players enough to present them with a thoughtful challenge.

CreaVures garnered a considerable amount of attention with its distinctively colorful visuals, and for some people that may be enough to look beyond the game's failings. It is pretty. It also has excellent potential, but at the moment, it's eye-candy that requires too many concessions in gameplay to fully enjoy.

CreaVures looks really nice... when viewed as thumbnail-sized screenshots in Steam.
