The game is long enough for RPG buffs to get into, and the game provides enough action for those that aren’t really interested in RPGS.

To its favor, Crimson Sea has a way of making repetition work. After each level you can upgrade your weapon, purchase new ones, or increase your character's attributes as you would in a RPG.

If can forgive a few bad camera angles, and a shoddy sniper mode, than you will derive great pleasure from this game.

The whole thing meshes well, is addictive in its playability, and looks absolutely beautiful (in a wonderfully detailed 3D anime way) in the process.

And its distinctive Japanese flavor, teeming with uniquely fantastical architecture and environments that are rarely rendered Stateside -- complete with ridiculous anime hairdos and not-so-slick voice acting -- Crimson Sea will definitely quench your thirst for action.

Not only does it have some amazing graphics with hundreds of enemies onscreen. Crimson Sea is fast, smooth and really easy to get into.

One of those Xbox games that couldn't be done on another console without comprimising quality.

The gameplay has a moderate learning curve to it and might not appeal to some, but if you stick with it you’ll find Crimson Sea has a lot to offer.

At its core, it's a relative rudimentary system, but this is an action game, not a strategy game. What's there is just enough to give the game the depth it needs without over complicating things.

Beautiful and challenging... A twisting, turning plot tops off the meal and this Sea, simply, demands to be bathed in.

Pure action and adventure stuffed with gorgeous models and adrenaline-charged action. Koei continue their domination of the population game.

Differs from "Dynasty Warriors" in that it simply kicks ass.

Though third-person action adventure games are very common these days, Crimson Sea's unusual style and characters and its effective blend of action elements make it stand out.

The varied missions -- 40 or so of them -- are a visceral blast, and even the simple waste-them-all-and-send-God-the-cleaning-bill slaughter sessions are wonderfully cathartic.

The control system is a bitch, partly because the storyline is fairly boring and partly because there isn't much innovation.

It’s just too short: the game takes around ten hours to complete.

The only things holding this game back from true greatness are the jumpy camera and choppy controls.

The obvious incoherence of many of the design decisions allows the player to see past the realistic graphics and to observe the unrealistic logic that underlies the game.

If you can stomach the poor writing and the annoying camera, Crimson Sea has some visually rewarding intermissions and some decent battle situations to keep the action game fan happy.
