Dark Planet: Battle for Natrolis Critic Reviews

It bored me a bit. Without any real history or story behind the factions fighting, I just felt kind of disjointed the entire time I was playing.

A been-there-done-that title that does pretty well by itself.

A typical RTS with some atypical races. It would be a nice introduction to the newcomer to the genre, and veterans of this mode or warfare will find it challenging.

In the AI department, Dark Planet is consistently inconsistent.

Sports some of the best visuals you'll find in a strategy game, real-time or otherwise... one of the most annoying user-interfaces for any strategy game in recent memory.

Call it a "StarCraft" homage, call it a "Starcraft" clone, Dark Planet is still a good, entertaining RTS.

DP:BfN has numerous elements that make the game cumbersome to play, and drain it of enjoyment.

It also has an interface that seems designed to shield you from actually playing the game.

There's not an original idea in this competent but dull game's pretty little pre-programmed head.

Could be a solid RTS if not for the lack of story and the cluttered and variant interface.

One of the worst real-time strategy games I’ve ever played.

That is the real problem with Dark Planet, it doesn’t do anything that might keep me interested in playing it (and with over 40 missions it should be trying to).

A prime example of how amazing graphics can't make up for lackluster gameplay.

Superior graphics...but its poor interface, repetitious campaign modes and unchallenging AI has relegated it to just another also-ran.
