Superb zombie-slaying combat and enjoyable motorcycle gameplay are integrated perfectly with a well-paced story. But the game’s major highlights are the terrifying zombie hordes which are unlike anything seen in a videogame so far.

There is a lot to Days Gone, and it is a larger game than people might expect.

Bend Studio delivered a great narrative game, innovative mechanics, addictive gameplay, a very well-considered progression curve, great audio design, stunning graphics, and it's very fun to play. The hordes of the game are something that we've never seen and are simply amazing, an impressive technological display that's not just surprising but a lot of fun. Days Gone is a very welcome addition to the PlayStation classics library.

I can’t think of many other open world games that pack in as much character, as much wonderfully crafted narrative that Days Gone does. Sure, it’s a story about a world overrun with a deadly virus. But it’s also a story about people, about hope, about survival. It's at times uplifting, others heartbreaking. Couple that with Days Gone's beautiful setting and a varied array of well-designed story missions, and you're left with something pretty special.

PlayStation LifeStyle April 25, 2019
Days Gone checks all the boxes of a proverbial PlayStation exclusive, but never feels like it’s stepping on anyone else’s toes. Despite the games, film, and TV that you can easily draw comparisons too, Days Gone handles it all in such a way that it has its own unique identity. The more I played it, the more I loved it, until finally finishing the long journey and not wanting the adventure to end. Sam Witwer is brilliant as Deacon St. John, and his journey of survival, humanity, and self-discovery through a deadly world via motorcycle is a memorable one that shouldn’t be missed.

A huge open-world horror, stealth-action, adventure melting pot that manages to tap into everything we love about Sony’s games while finding its own voice buried beneath the horde of ideas. Days Gone has been worth the wait.

Days Gone is an exceptionally refined and gorgeous open-world action adventure game. It doesn't bring a whole lot new to the table but what it does offer is hours upon hours of exciting gameplay and a layered (albeit often overly verbose) narrative.

Days Gone has an astonishing and rich open world with great characters and a lot of quests to accomplish. Bend Studio is finally becoming great. Sony must be proud.

Days Gone does not doing anything we haven't seen before, but it does have its own unique style. Exploring the beautiful world where Deacons story and the side missions are a great combination: this game is very enticing.

Days Gone might be one of the most entertaining survival games we've ever played. It presents a strong narrative and systems that make the game always unpredictable. It may not be a "must have", but it sure is a damn fun video game.

Bend Studio made a great game with a rich, believable and captivating story. They’ve also resisted the lure of trends: there’s no multiplayer, no lootboxes, no “game as a service” plans – just a very solid (and finite) singleplayer experience. That makes it a rare gem these days, maybe one of the last of its kind.

The tension is not always extremely high and the story is missing the epic nature of The Last of Us, but if you're looking for an awesome single-player adventure for those long spring evenings, then Days Gone is the game for you.

Days Gone has become one of the great titles in the PlayStation catalog, and although it does not exceed the quality of the great titans of its generation, offers between 40 and 50 hours of fun, with a good narrative and a great character.

Worth Playing April 25, 2019
Even with all the promotion we're seeing now, Days Gone still carries the aura of a title that could be miscast and possibly overlooked at a glance, like it was for me a few years ago. You don't know until you play, and this stands as one the more pleasant and satisfying surprises of the year for me. It's been a long road to this game, but the ride is worth it.

Days Gone puts Bend Studio once again on the map of all PlayStation gamers after many years of oblivion. While it doesn't deliver any meaningful innovations in terms of open world and gameplay mechanics, it's a fun game that sports gorgeous graphics and a surprisingly great story/cast of characters, easily paving the way for a sequel to the stories of Deacon 'the Drifter' St. John.

Days Gone offers fun open-world exploration and survival-horror gameplay elevated by a compelling post apocalypse narrative and top-notch presentation.

For better or for worse, Day Gone exceeds expectations. Bend Studio focuses heavily on the plot of its latest work, sometimes even at the expense of the gameplay, forced to adapt to the narrative needs of the survival game. Despite this, Days gone is still a very unique experience, thanks to its extremely recognizable personality shining through.

Days Gone is a very nice game. It’s not original or perfect, but it’s really enjoyable from the title screen to the ending credits.

Days Gone doesn't re-invent the Open World concept, but thanks to the terrific combination of survival elements and third-person action, it's still a lot of fun.

It took a few hours to get under my skin. But now that I've gotten into a rhythm with its post-apocalyptic horror-survivalist aspects, Days Gone puts on a good little self-serious road drama.
