Case Zero doesn't add much to the Dead Rising 2 experience, but it's cheap and offers lots of fun and replayability.

Dead Rising 2: Case West is great. It runs well, bends what you'd expect from a Dead Rising game, and offers a fun co-op experience for you and a pal.

As a Dead Rising fan I appreciate the basics of exploring and messing around with different weapons and just having fun. And while the conclusion isn't really satisfying the enjoyment getting there lets me give Case West a recommendation.

Case West remains an interesting add-on every fan of the franchise needs to own. I do have an issue with the fact that the price point has been doubled compared to Case Zero.

The game is fun while it lasts, but it is quite short, even for a downloadable title. No real reason to re-play.

Considering its excellent quality/price ratio as well as the new weapons, items, enemies and vehicles, Case West proves to be a quality purchase for any fans of the franchise.

A cynical and frustratingly abrupt ending that quite deliberately leaves too many unanswered questions and story threads dangling is about the only real sour note struck by another accomplished downloadable release from Capcom.

For a downloadable title this is one polished experience.

It's funny, challenging, and easily worth replaying a few times; there are only two endings this time around, but you're unlikely to see everything the Phenotrans lab has to offer in a single outing.

Dead Rising fans will enjoy it most, but even carnage-craving newbies will easily get their money's worth.

Dead Rising 2: Case West is a good stand-alone co-op zombie slayer and definite for all 360 fans of the franchise. Just don't expect too many answers.

Game Informer January 14, 2011
For diehard fans of the series, this one's a must-play. For everyone else, Case West is fun, but hardly essential.

Apart from the main story missions, of which there are only three, and the handful of survivors that need your help, there's not a lot else to do apart from slaughter as many zombies and bad guys as you can.

Playing this short and sweet game makes you wonder whether they couldn't construct the next title in such a way so that co-op can play a larger part, because if Dead Rising 2's co-op was anywhere near as much fun as Case West's, I doubt I'd want to play it solo more than once.

You can't get enough of zombie-smashing and this expansion is well worth your money.

Excellent value standalone game - best played by Dead Rising fans (new and old) in co-op.

The appeal of creatively eradicating the undead remains undeniable. Drab environment and co-op hiccups aside, there's plenty to enjoy in the three-hour campaign to make it worth the $10 asking price.

This new DLC does not succeed in becoming a must have for every gamer out there and case west ends up being reccomended just to Dead Rising hardcore fans.

Case Zero was great because it was just $5 and was an excellent prologue to DR2, while Case West doesn't bring about quite as much for twice the price. Sure, it's a bit longer and has co-op, but it is far less intriguing than Case Zero and the added content such as the camera feels half-baked.

Overall, Case West is a good game, with a great gameplay, good visuals and an incredible cooperative play. It feels more of the same and it lacks the tension of previous entries, as it is mainly a presentation of the plot that, surely, we will see in Dead Rising 3. Highly recommended for fans of the franchise.
