Other than the boss fights and the graphics, there isn't too much I'd change about this game. As a huge fan of Resident Evil 4, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop offered a similar take on that experience, but with more enemies on screen, more melee weapons, more comedy, and more action.

Capcom gives us a wiimote to go shopping again in Willamette. Probably, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop had deserved an independent design, instead of a port, but it still can be a good survival-horror action choice for gamers who don't own an Xbox 360.

Waggling the Wii Remote to kill zombies never gets old, and the plethora of unconventional weapons (shopping cart, park bench) add lots of variety; and aiming weapons with the remote is much easier than using two analog sticks.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop has little to do with the original game for Xbox 360, since the gameplay and philosophy behind it are completely different. It also suffers from a series of problems that make it frustrating at times. This game seems to be a spin-off rather than a real conversion, but it's still a challenging action-packed title.

It's a little rough around the edges, so we'd still recommend Resident Evil 4 as the premiere Wii survival horror game, but if you want to dismember the undead in a non-lightgun setting, it's a pretty solid choice.

If you already played the original, pass on this generally inferior version. That said, this is NOT a bad game and is worth taking a look into for those who can't play the original.

A fun romp that fans of action games will enjoy. If you have already visited the town of Willamette there is little reason to return, but if this is your first experience you will not be disappointed.

A lot of corners have been cut to get this game on the Wii and the result is not the impressive next-gen experience it was on the 360. Rather, it's a breezy weekend diversion with some fun gameplay and subpar graphics.

A more flexible save system is also a step in the right direction. Yet, the repetitive mission objectives and moronic AI ensure that the enjoyment you glean from it will be directly proportional to how much you enjoy using new weapons to kill zombies.

A real let-down. There are some great ideas in here but they're just not executed very well. Stick to "Resident Evil 4."

It may not be on the same level as the original, but it holds its own among other Wii titles. Admittedly, this one is for newcomers instead of those already blood-soaked from the original.

Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop is a more than decent adaptation of the essence which made such a great game of the original Capcom title. Unfortunately, the technical part of the game is not elaborated enough, with several flaws that diminish that game experience and thus affect gameplay. Despite everything, it is an enjoyable game, provided we can forgive its flaws.

Dead Rising veterans might see a downsized port, but for newcomers this is an enjoyable horror-themed action game.

Do yourself a favor by renting this to see the end result of this port and put a bigger investment on the sequel instead.

Even leaving aside comparisons with the original this isn't what it could have been.

Chop Till You Drop is not too bad, but if you have an Xbox 360 Dead Rising is a much better purchase. The Wii version comes short on certain aspects and is therefore not worth the full price.

Dead Rising: Chop till you Drop has finally made it to the Wii with a joyful gameplay system that lacks a graphics engine too old, without any trace of the camera. The story's very much the same, without any changes at all, except one; we've lost the sandbox element to include a linear mechanic. Its a good game though not exactly as good a the Xbox 360 version.

As a standalone experience, it's shambling but lovable: two parts quirkiness to one part tedium. Compare it to the original, however, and it's hard to escape the fact that a once-brilliant game has been put through a mangler. Somewhere along the way, Capcom's zombie apocalypse has been bludgeoned into a zombie compromise, and, unless you really like poodles, the Wii offering can't really be said to add anything that the 360 version was lacking.

Very hard to recommend. It's certainly better than not playing Dead Rising at all but should not be considered for purchase. A rental at best, Chop Till You Drop isn't a game you'll play till you drop.

The idea is nice but the execution is lacking - that's not a bad summary for Chop Till You Drop as a whole, an experience that could have been much better than it is. As it stands, Capcom's latest Wii port is the worst of the bunch, a substandard experience that just doesn't hold up to modern standards, let alone those of the series itself.
