Delta Force: Black Hawk Down - Team Sabre Critic Reviews

As a solo game, Team Sabre is a bit lacking.

Bad A.I. and no realism, but who cares? The nonstop rat-a-tat-tat of automatic weapons in hostile environments gives Team Sabre its charm.

Anyone who doesn't already have BHD has been missing out on one of the best FPSs of recent times, and Team Sabre is just icing on the cake.

At £19.99, this is a highly impressive add-on, and although it has only 11 new single-player levels, none of them is a walkover.

Reasonably basic improvements.

In short, if you own the original or a similar game go buy a copy you'll love it. Everyone else should keep their sanity by going out, buying a good book and reading it.

The new missions are interesting, and the new weapons nice enough. Since this is a $19 addon you’re getting a fair amount of fun for your money.

The longer sight lines make for more challenging gameplay, and the large servers allow a dynamic that makes every round a different experience. The single player game, however...it needs work.

Team Sabre may not be realistic, but it's packed with explosions, wild gunfights, and quite a bit of fun--though it's also extremely frustrating at times, due to a limited save system coupled with some excruciatingly difficult gameplay.

More of the same with a few bright spots. There will be good times, as well as frustrating ones - but with a street price of $17.99, it's not at all bad.

It’s an incredibly thin expansion pack, even considering the el-cheapo price tag.

When it works, it works really well and it's a better game than the original. Unfortunately, the expansion doesn't work well all the time. In addition to that, its single-player facet is not particularly lengthy even if it is a bit harder and has lengthier missions than the original.

While it’s nothing spectacular and it won’t last you forever, it’s a far more appetising than picking up one of the older games in the series up on budget.

If you're a Black Hawk Down multiplayer junkie, you'll probably get your money's worth just from the three jungle maps. But everyone else should probably save their $20 until Novalogic offers something more substantial.

It seems as though the game tries too hard to grab your attention. Like an annoying child, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre forces you to comply by sheer redundancy.

First up is the AI, which, for both the enemy and your squad, is simply dreadful.

As a pure single-player action game, the expansion is a mixed bag, but there's still some great gaming to be had with the whole "Black Hawk Down" experience.
