Whether you're playing it to stay occupied until Diablo IV comes out or playing it out of excitement, Diablo Immortal is simply worth playing.

Diablo Immortal is an absolutely stunning experience, even on mobile. The game is really easy to pick up, even for people new to the Diablo series. Gameplay is smooth and impactful and the voiceover work is top tier. Aside from hating the ‘grind’, this is my new favorite MMO experience!

I was looking for a substantial Diablo experience to play on my phone with Immortal, and it often reaches that bar. While I don’t see myself going deep into the endgame unless Blizzard resolves the issues with legendary gems, I still plan to spend hours in Diablo Immortal, leveling a character in every class and playing until my hands ache.

The old hack and slash series is here again. Against the fanatics who want to bring Diablo back, we need to prevent Worldstone from reuniting. The game, which acts as a bridge between Diablo 2 and 3, should be given a chance.

Diablo Immortal is an excellent mobile spin on Blizzard’s classic, dungeon-crawling action, but the game's grind means that you may need to stick with it for the long haul to fully appreciate the experience.

When Blizzard first announced Diablo Immortal, fans were a bit wary about whether the game could live up to the Diablo name. Thankfully, not only does the game present a classic Diablo experience in a smaller form but it does so nearly flawlessly, albeit with a sharper focus on grinding than any other Diablo game.

Diablo Immortal successfully brings the iconic hack-and-slash formula to mobile devices without compromise, though the free-to-play model may prove irritating.

Obviously, I’m a bit conflicted. But it’s only fair to review Diablo Immortal the way we have reviewed games like this before and the way we will probably review games like this in the future. By those standards, yes, this is a fantastic action-RPG experience. Go clear up the twelve gigabytes or so that you’ll need, download it, and get into it. It’s going to try to sell you things, but it will use a very soft sell approach until you’re in very deep indeed. Perhaps deeper in than many of you will play anyway. Diablo Immortal is here. It is everything we could have hoped for, and everything we have feared.

Diablo Immortal is a ton of fun. A five minute session can soon turn into an hour or more, with constant gratification keeping you hooked for a number of hours. The end game may turn prohibitively expensive for the perfectionist player but for everyone else, simply enjoy the experience in the meantime.

Diablo Immortal is an excellent game which raises the bar of mobile action RPGs and will hardly be surpassed. At the same time, however, it comes with some aggressive free-to-play mechanics that on the one hand are not going to bother your progression in the campaign, and on the other hand will limit everything related to looting.

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game.

Diablo Immortal blends classic gameplay with the free-to-play formula, and almost delivers a complete knockout mobile experience.

Diablo Immortal is a mixed bag. While the solo content offers a roadmap for series looking to bring their titles to mobile, the invasive microtransactions remove some of the rewards of mastery, and leave us wishing that Diablo Immortal had stuck to its paid-for guns. There’s enough for casual players to delve into the world of Diablo and have a good time, but as things stand, and as those in the underworld will confess to, there’s no way of getting to the top without paying for it.

The hack, slash, and loot world of Diablo is brilliantly re-engineered for a small screen but the fun, initial progression is offset by a grinding endgame and/or eye-wateringly costly microtransactions.

The game succeeds in the Diablo franchise's core mechanics such as grinding, the pleasure of looting items. The build structure using legendary equipment in the early to mid-game also immersive. However, the fun of growing your character is halved as soon as the way to strengthen it evolves to upgrading legendary gems. Moreover, the in-game payment system seems to have failed to provide sufficient satisfaction compared to what has been invested.

Diablo Immortal is a fine social rpg with a pacing problem, and absolutely none of that has to do with its monetization.

Diablo debuts on mobile phones and tablets retaining its core gameplay and DNA, while paving the way to a huge microtransaction system. While it’s absolutely possible to enjoy the game without spending a cent, the system keeps tempting the player to spend money with the promise to become stronger and to obtain better loot. The signature gameplay is still there, but it’s difficult to shine on PvP without spending money.

Diablo Immortal is a good entry in this long-running franchise. Its iconic gameplay works nicely with mobile phone portability. You can come in and play whenever you want. Unfortunately, the excessive monetization towards the end of the game stops this experience from becoming a must-play title.

Although it really feels like a full-blown Diablo game and have a better story and atmosphere than Diablo 3, it could have been a much better game if it wasn't a victim of greed (micro-transactions)... Why Blizzard, why?

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
