Not only did I manage to get my "Action Hero" fix, but also I managed to feel just as exhilarated as I did when I watched the movie for the first time.

Everything is solid, but there's little that will make you throw your hands up with delight.

It's a solid first-person shooter with some hours of shooting fun with at least one odd design decision.

The constant rattling of locked doorknobs in Nakatomi Plaza makes it obvious and frustrating. Since floors in the plaza are limited in size, why have all the locked doors?

It can be fun at times for fans of the movie, but it is too inconsistent to recommend to the casual action gamer.

Reasonably fun, but don't expect the level of immersion and polish found in other PC action games such as "No One Lives Forever" or "Jedi Knight II."

It helps that the AI is pretty good. Bad guys will roll out of the way and use cover.

While the graphics are very appealing, your progress is utterly railed, which sort of defeats the purpose of all the impressive architectural design.

A number of problems with the controls, the graphics, and the enemy AI keep it from being anything more than a mediocre game.

Rather than being out and out frustrating, Die Hard is really just an exercise in tedium.

I really don't understand why anyone would want to own this game unless they were a die hard fan of "Die Hard" (sorry).

What isn't quite so entertaining is the reliance on essentially one weapon.

Perhaps the only redeeming quality of the game is the always entertaining Die Hard movie license, other than that you have a run of the mill shooter.

A straight vanilla shooter. It does many things well, many things not so well, but nothing exceptionally.

The game feels as if it's a throwback to shooters made prior to games like Unreal, and while reliving a few scenes from the movie is enjoyable, it's just not enough.

The only thing good about this game is the scenery and the weapon mechanics, but even that isn't going to rescue this game from fading quickly into obscurity and the bargain software bin.
