Despite the flaws of the gacha system and microtransactions, Disney Mirrorverse is a powerhouse mobile RPG, and it certainly fits the bill for any Disney fan, with fun combat, a great story, and a fantastic reimagination of your favourite Disney characters.

Overall, we feel pretty positive towards Disney Mirrorverse. Despite the flaws inherent with the genre, this is bristling with high production value and varies up the gameplay nicely. It’s also, honestly, just a joy to see collect your favourite Disney heroes and watch them fight alongside each other.

Alliances can be created or joined for free, and there are always active missions to take part in. Alliance mission milestones can be completed passively because nearly every activity in the game awards points. There are tiers of rewards dispersed weekly depending on leaderboard position and how many points were earned for the Alliance. Competing with friends and Alliance members, as well as the promise of new content with regular updates, creates an incentive to keep playing. Disney Mirrorverse is a truly enjoyable experience that portrays some fan-favorite Disney and Pixar characters in a new, thrilling adventure.

Disney Mirrorverse is an action RPG featuring real-time combat and a cast of beloved Disney and Pixar characters. It can be a bit of a challenge for free-to-play players to score more than 3-star heroes, but the creative character designs make each Guardian a joy to play on the battlefield regardless of rarity.

Building a mobile RPG with gacha elements on Disney universe (or metaverse) is surely a clever idea and Disney Mirrorverse plays very well in the action sections, but it's still just another gacha game, with the classic predatory monetization and overly complicated progression system.

If Kabam can figure out how to tone down their constant asks for money and also provide players with more variation in actual gameplay, they may have a hit on their hands with Disney Mirrorverse. The characters are certainly cool and I'd love to see the world expand to include more stories over time. However, because of the constant barrage of in-game ads, I certainly wouldn't recommend this game to kids, despite its use of beloved characters.

Disney Mirrorverse is, in many ways, a wasted opportunity. Such an original concept could have been the foundation for a more structured title from the gameplay point of view and perhaps addressed to a specific target.

Disney Mirrorverse is a sleek new contender in the action RPG gacha space, but at the end of the day, it's just that — another gacha game.

I could go on and on, but Mirrorverse is stuffed with predatory tactics like this. They shred any remaining desire to further explore what is truly a bold and unique take on the Disney universe, which is a real shame. I'd hoped these Guardian versions of the Disney characters I'd grown up with would get more time to shine and show off their new abilities. Instead, I got buried in resources and currencies, which relegated these amazing heroes to posing on the menu screens, and the result is a big disappointment. I'm looking into the Mirrorverse, but I don't like the reflection.
