Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 is an excellent blend of ideas and watching the various cage narrative is thrilling. There’s enough of them and they are randomized at the start of a new run, to encourage replayability. The game makes mass surveillance immersive and engaging, which is icky on a conceptual level but makes playing the game very fun. The survival and interference mechanics also mesh well with the dystopian future world. I wanted more future wikis to explore, with even weirder concepts and incidents. Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 is weird and compelling, with cool ideas for both the cage stories and the meta-narrative.

At first, the balancing act of Do Not Feed The Monkeys 2099 can feel quite overwhelming. Health decays at a faster rate than in the original, much to player detriment, and managing to keep it at a viable level while also paying the Council, buying new cages, and viewing feeds at their active times is quite the challenge. However, similarly to games like Papers, Please, it's very doable to make incremental progress each run, and the payoff that comes from things like the title's both hilarious and thought-provoking dialogue and the payoff from either helping or hindering primates makes Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 a worthwhile experience.

Although not as surprising as the original (like pretty much every sequel), this title deliver another fantastic experience while we uncover its characters’ darkest secrets.

I've spent the past few days completely hooked on Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099, and I think part of the reason is that, much like the game's protagonist, we all spend most of our day glued to a screen and working remotely.

It offers a fun, well-balanced experience full of possibilities. It’s a game that will keep you glued to the screen while you’re precisely glued to the screen while watching the monkeys. This sequel offers many improved stuff the original game didn’t, and which certainly deserves the opportunity to be played.

Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 is the sequel to the deduction and observation game that caught us by surprise a few years ago. It maintains its original essence, but incorporates new mechanics and content that add complexity to the development.
