This is actually a funny game. Dollars, dollars... it's all about the fun and money!

It falls just short of its goal of being a Bomberman killer, but just short of Bomberman is still a pretty good place to be, and Dollar Dash is definitely worth looking into.

Games don’t get much more generic than Dollar Dash. Everything, from the graphics and gameplay, to the soundtrack is an exercise in mediocrity.

Dollar Dash is a serviceable game, even if it doesn't aim very high. If you're bored of constant deathmatches in Spelunky's multiplayer versus mode, or you've saturated every last round of Bomberman and the many clones it spawned over the years, Dollar Dash will give you a few evenings of enjoyment.

There isn't anything inherently wrong with Dollar Dash. It's just a multiplayer only game that doesn't do a lot different and as a result feels overpriced for what we get.

In the end, Dollar Dash is amusing but only in small bursts.

Dollar Dash isn’t necessarily a bad game; it’s just not a particularly compelling one. The overabundance of items turns the potential for a fun experience into a chaotic mess. I can’t imagine a scenario where I would choose this to play online. There are both better ways to spend $10, and better multiplayer experiences to be had.

Dollar Dash isn’t great. It’s sometimes pretty OK but only after you get your head around the obtuse controls and are playing with real humans. It’s probably a bit better with people you know, but that would require your friends to all purchase the game as well.

In its best moments, the concept could give Bomberman a run for his money. But the fun is short lived and gets too hectic too soon for its own good.

The math for Dollar Dash to be fun is there, but the numbers don’t add up. One crucial variable was unaccounted for: other interested parties.

You'll wonder why you didn't just stick with multiplayer greats like Bomberman.

There isn’t a whole lot to Dollar Dash. It’s a simple game about running around, grabbing stuff, and throwing things at friends, and it goes totally overboard with it. With no significant depth or cleverness to it, it's easy for the annoying gameplay imbalances and control issues to ruin the whole thing.

At the end of the day Dollar Dash just didn’t grab me like it could have. Sure, a minor amount of fun might be had in a party situation with friends, but the lack of depth and overall madness that each match turns into won’t keep you playing for long.

Dollar Dash is a generic multiplayer action game with rusty game mechanics that suffer from an almost nonexistent player base, so you will end up playing against boring bots.

These bloodless battles just aren’t very exciting; they’re more likely to elicit yawns than trash-talk. Dollar Dash might briefly amuse younger gamers, but everyone else will feel robbed.

Whenever you’ve seen everything there is to see in a game in under half an hour, usually there’ll be few reasons to return to it. Dollar Dash is one of those games. With an emphasis on online gameplay and playing with friends on a couch, it loses all of its appeal when someone gets near. Playing bankrobber has never been this mediocre.

Let's hope this failed attempt doesn't deter other people from trying.

Dollar Dash is a briefly enjoyable, but uninspired game. It has its moments for those playing amongst friends, and if they can overlook minor details like “game design,” but is there are better ways to spend your money. With a $10 price tag, you’d do well to dash away and use your dollars elsewhere.

I feel for the developers, who clearly had their hearts in the right place when making this game, but the misjudgements in its structure and release make it impossible to love.
