Menus aren't quite so easy to navigate as they were previously but then that's only because there's so much more to do now and as trade-offs go, this is one we're quite happy to abide.

The sparse menus aren't up to Nintendo's usual standard and the game is lacking in an abundance of minigames, but with a storming collection of songs covered and fun and challenging gameplay, Donkey Konga 2 is perhaps the best party game ever.

Surprisingly funny rythm action game. The bongo controller is definitively a must.

It is evident that Nintendo has made the effort to make this game more appealing towards the general public with more hip and modern music then the original.

The game doesn't push the boundaries of gaming in any form, although it's certainly much more fun than Donkey Konga with more content and a better defined 'videogame' structure encompassing it.

The decision to toss videogame themes and classic oldies songs for a bunch of forgettable rock/pop and hip-hop tunes marks a bad move on the part of Nintendo. Yes, it's cool that Nintendo has tried to appeal to a mass audience, but it can't forget its fanbase either.

If you didn't notice already, this means that there were not only no Nintendo songs, but there were no children songs, either.

It brings new life to the bongos.

It's a shame that there were so few Nintendo themes and so much of only a few genres.

An encore with a new set of songs and the same infectious rhythm-based gameplay for up to four players.

The most surprising addition to the mix has got to be Yankee Doodle. Playing through that song with the conga beat in the background is something different.

This game is a brave try, but most players will regard it as a step backwards from the previous game.

With a much smoother front end and far more relaxing, sedentary backdrops in-game, visually, the game seems crisper and more vibrant with the overall quality of presentation a step up from the original.

It's a ball with friends, amusing solo, and a nice purchase for anyone that already owns the bongo controller.

If you've been craving more Konga then this is worth checking out. Otherwise it may be best to move along.

The single-player modes are really lacking, which is really astounding since the multiplayer is so much fun.

But even if you're a fan of the original bongo-bangin' rhythm game who's eager for more of the same, it's likely that the game's strained musical selection will put a damper on the experience.

A great multiplayer music experience. If you already own the first game and have invested in the konga bongos then the sequel is a no-brainer.

The gameplay itself-though uninteresting-is still intuitive and responsive.

Feels more like an expansion pack than a real sequel to Donkey Konga, and I would've liked to have seen the problems of the original fixed to some degree in its descendant. Sadly this is not the case.
