With interesting plot threads to discover, beautiful locations to traverse, and powerful equipment to loot, there’s plenty on offer in Jaws of Hakkon—it’s a valuable addition to what was already a worthwhile

BioWare has simply significantly increased the level of hitpoints on them all (a powerful Ogre has as much health as one of the first dragons in the core game) and at times that means many engagements turn into simple slugfests, with the player party and the enemies trading blows with limited tactical input until one of them losses all health.

It’s a good, fun, entertaining extra bit of Dragon Age Inquisition, and if that doesn’t excite you then, well, you don’t need it.

Beautiful, well-written, and with an exciting finish, this is a strong start for Inquisition DLC.

Jaws of Hakkon is an enjoyable but unessential addition to Inquisition, great for players looking to prolong their game or for an excuse to dive back into Thedas.

It doesn't add anything new to the main concept, but as far as "more of the same" products go, this remains a well-crafted one.

Though I wish that Jaws of Hakkon was less bloated, and though I miss the cinematic flair of the rest of Dragon Age: Inquisition, I know that in a month I'll have forgotten these quibbles. Instead, I'll remember my time spent in Frostback Basin fondly. I'll remember the sharp wit of Svarah Sun-Hair, the leader of the local Avvar clan.

For its cost, this DLC offers enough content to enjoy although it doesn’t show anything new.

It’s hard to fully recommend Jaws of Hakkon when it feels so non-essential. There were no unique must-have experiences tucked away within the DLC that would warrant a purchase at $15. If you’re looking for more of the same, you got it.

Jaw of Hakkon is a good expansion but isn’t able to reach the high standard of quality of Dragon Age Inquisition.

Jaws of Hakkon is a good start for Inquisition's DLCs, though Bioware could definitely do more. If you loved the formula of the original game, this addition will offer a new and interesting questline, extensive and inspired locations, a little extra loot and valuable information in terms of lore.

Jaws of Hakkon is a well-made addition to Dragon Age: Inquisitions. It provides a beautiful new location to explore, more loot to acquire and enemies to vanquish. But in the end, that’s it. There aren’t any truly meaningful additions here, no new gameplay elements or characters interactions. It is literally more of the same.

Jaws of Hakkon is a peculiar add-on. If you have finished all quests in Dragon Age: Inquisition and still have an urge to explore this fantastic world or fight some monsters, this DLC will provide several hours of great fun. If you put the story in the first place and still have some unfinished quests, Jaws of Hakkon aren't for you.

After having spent over 80 hours with Inquisition I was tired of it and Jaws of Hakkon did absolutely nothing to reignite the flame.
