Dream Chronicles feels dated in every possible way and does nothing great besides wasting your precious time.

Leave your superhero cape at home; Dream Chronicles instead begs for a mouse and keyboard--but this is a 360 game, and there's no such pairing in sight.

It's actually quite enjoyable at points. It just feels short and, ultimately, a bit pointless.

If you are the sort of person who gets their kicks from hidden object/puzzle games, you may get a few hours enjoyment from Dream Chronicles. However, with a hefty price tag and with better games of this style out there, you may be better off looking elsewhere.

Porting an adventure game onto a console system is always a risk: Dream Chronicles offers a boring gameplay, poor enigmas and, most of all, a frustrating pixel hunting from the beginning to the end. Needless to say, you'll miss your PC mouse a lot.

With a poor story, out-dated graphics and no real depth to the puzzles and with so many great titles in the genre already available for the same price, I would suggest you steer clear of this one.

But the really depressing thing about PlayFirst's spirit-crushing little game is that it'll probably sell enough to result in a deluge of the bloody things, and force us to question the sanity of mankind. Again.

The gameplay is rudimentary and doesn't provide any sort of challenge to an audience who wants more bang for their buck. With last generation inspired graphics and music that drives you crazy with any type of extended play, 800 Microsoft Points feels awfully steep.

Dream Chronicles is a bland, boring, and uninspired game that is on the wrong platform, looking for the wrong audience, and asking too much for what it offers.
