High Isle is a living, breathing world with a company of characters, side quests and gameplay that is as charming as it is entertaining. This is definitely one of my favourite expansions in the series, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapters have in store.

High Isle is one of the best narrative expansions within TESO. Its plot manages to capture players' attention. Also, the game has localization in Spanish, which makes the game more accessible for Latinamerican countries. Tales of Tribute is a gem that you must try, even if other sections of the game have not evolved yet.

The ESO DLC High Isle gets you a well-rounded package with lots of Breton flair, fancy quests and an exciting card game.

The great strength of The Elder Scrolls Online are the stories based on often excellently written dialogues. And High Isle fully exploits this strength with a motivating main mission. But as fresh as the story may seem, the rest of the chapter feels a bit like an annual ritual.

MMORPGs continue to come and go, but only a handful remain really vital and appealing to a broad range of new and faithful players. While not every expansion of Elder Scrolls Online has been equally amazing, each one has deepened and broadened the core experience. With High Isle, ZeniMax and Bethesda tone down the melodrama. In its place are political upheavals, scheming anarchists and an addictive new card game. The Elder Scrolls Online continues to be a dream MMO for both solo players and groups.

While ESO is certainly growing and filling out the map of Tamriel, it feels like it is stagnating some. New additions like the Antiquities system and Tales of Tribute give players some variety in the gameplay. However, the core of the stories feels the same. While it can feel stale, I do still enjoy playing each new chapter. The new locales and characters usually make up for it. As do the new systems. I am interested to see what the devs bring us next as well as where the Legacy of the Bretons will go.

High Isle is one of the most striking expansions since the MMO was launched in 2014. The team's ambition to create a different story is noticeable, and the contents it adds manage to expand the saga's vast universe even more. The Spanish translation marks High Isle as the best time to start playing The Elder Scrolls Online.

Whether you’re a veteran player or new to the game, The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle offers plenty of opportunity to enjoy brand new content as either a solo player or as part of a party.

The new regions of High Isle are once again great in design, the quests are fantastically written and there is a lot to do. In detail, however, we are disappointed on a high level. The quest design has been more varied in the past, and the battles rarely offer a challenge. Furthermore, it's about time that Zenimax adds new classes oder weapon types, something that brings a breath of fresh air.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle may not be a total home run, but it is another solid installment to the MMORPG despite its weak story. High Isle itself is a gorgeously realized location that feels more alive than other settings have thanks to the incredible attention to detail by the art team, and the gameplay is a lot of fun where it matters most. The inclusion of Tales of Tribute works wonderfully, and the game itself was clearly well-designed and executed. However, it could have been even stronger as a base game feature that all players could enjoy. This might have added to the social aspects of Elder Scrolls Online by giving players more to do while in-game besides group combat encounters. Players have likely not seen the last of the Ascendant Order and its leader in Elder Scrolls Online expansions, and time will tell whether dragging out the reveal of the Ascendant Lord's identity was a worthwhile move. In the meantime, fans are likely to find many things to like about The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle that add some welcome variety and lore in Tamriel, and it is well worth checking out.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle expansion brings an exciting new story to the eight-year-old online game, and once again expands the breadth of the world of The Elder Scrolls series. The new "High Isle" map is rich in explorable contents, and the "Tales of Tribute" card game is no less fun than "Gwent". If you are a player who loves The Elder Scrolls series, immersing yourself in the world of The Elder Scrolls Online must be a perfect experience.

This new expansion perfectly juggles the epic tales of the new region and the main story of TESO.

Welcome to the sunny shores of High Isle, an idyllic zone and Chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online. The storyline is down to earth, with politics and conspiracy at the crux of a deep but a little less engrossing narrative. Companions Isobel and Ember are useful fighters with great character-building quests. While Volcanic Vents aren’t an amazing multiplayer activity, the Dreadsail Reef is a challenging but satisfying trail to grind impressive gear sets. However, the cherry on top is Tribes of Tribute, which you’ll spend too much time mastering the mechanics of the new in-game card tournament. If the lack of PvP doesn’t bother you, High Isle offers another year of excellent content for The Elder Scrolls Online.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle brings with it many great moments, and the landscape of the Systres is a joy to explore, especially the jungle prison of Amenos. While its story is predictable, I’m not uninterested as I look forward to the rest of the year’s content drops. In the end, it's this formulaic malaise that keeps The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle from being truly great.

High Isle offers a number of fun, entertaining experiences. However, it focuses on mostly delivering more of the same rather than building and properly expanding on the game’s core ideas. It’s completely fine that it does this, but I just personally wish it strived to be a little more.

High Isle feels the closest ESO has come to offering a meaty, single-player campaign in years but those ambitions butt heads with the core mechanics of the MMO. As ever with ESO, this isn’t going to be for everyone, but for those who already love sharing the world of Tamriel with others, this is the prettiest playground yet.

The High Isle chapter provides players with some great new story content and a beautiful new region, but with its lack of quality side content, low amount of new items, and underwhelming card game, it is hard to recommend to anyone who isn’t a story buff of TES series and is a more of a hardcore MMO player.
