Emergency 2012 can be frustrating and demanding, but is still a very entertaining game. As soon as the campaign ends however the fun ends too.

The as of yet best game of the series. Varied missions with cool settings and fairish graphics make Emergency 2012 a fun game. The downside is horrible interface and handling.

Emergency 2012 is a very direct title in its proposal, and maybe we won't need much time to take control, but it hides some levels which can become a real challenge if we can't cope with the situation.

The developers must have noticed that the controls hinder game play and that the pathfinding doesn't work at all. The editor is missing, too. What a waste of potential.

A real time strategy game without armies or war is a neat idea, and the premise of fighting fires, natural disasters and other emergencies is downright clever. However, the game is hampered by clumsy and overly elaborate controls, meaning you end spending just as much time working out how to use your units as you do actually rescuing people.

If they made it in 2011 graphics and gave players more freedom in the missions Emergency 2011 could be a truly enjoyable game.

The cumbersome gameplay and completely unrealistic settings and character movement provide quite the opposite of an immersive experience, and within an hour or two, you'll be exiting to Windows and filling your time with more entertaining games.

A joyless campaign and brain-dead units make this emergency management real-time strategy unworthy of resuscitation.

Not new but still an interesting concept that is being perfectly killed by its design, even after several installments of the game – startling technical flaws, confusion over combined missions, barely no artificial intelligence and on top of that problematic pathfinding. The game just totally wasted its good potential.
