While the rest of the world pants about the nonsensical "Morrowmind," the pinnacle of action role-playing is right under their noses. Wake up and smell the mace.

This game is indeed all we hoped for and a little bit more.

A pretty average action-adventure game with some amazing visuals and sound effects. If the game had its gameplay toned up a few notches, then this could have been a must buy game.

If you can take the time to understant the nuances that went into this game, you'll come to the startling revelation that Enclave is a medieval "Max Payne." The control schematic is a perfect match.

The biggest problem is that (with very, very rare exceptions) you can only save at the end of a level...Imagine "Halo" without a recharging shield or checkpoints, and you'll start to get the idea.

The graphics are sound and the audio is decent, but the gameplay is just not enough to make this a great game. There is poor movement, it’s a poor attack engine, and there were just too many holes in the gameplay.

While the game features stunning graphics, clear and realistic sound, and RPG elements to heighten the games longevity, there are some major set backs with the control, the A.I., the battling, and others areas.

Probably the hugest no-no will be the lack of in game saving and will really frustrate 99% of the gaming public. Honestly, the game was so close to becoming a huge hit that it really depressed me.

Gamers who may be looking for a deep adventure should consider Enclave. While there are a few graphical elements in the game that could've used a little more studio time, there are just as many gameplay elements that enhance the game.

A few more months in development ironing out the control system and the suspect AI would have seen a much better release, whilst mid-level saves would have eliminated some of the frustration.

If "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" were stripped of its depth, its open-ended gameplay, its plethora of quests and overarching story, and its hardcore role-playing game mystique, Enclave would be the result, an often entertaining but equally often frustrating game.

The controls are mediocre, the graphics are amazing, and the gameplay is sub par, yet another occasion where graphics DO NOT make a game great.

With such awesome visuals, it's hard to comprehend why the clipping problems are so horrendous.

The biggest and what will probably be the final deathblow to this game for a lot of people is the overall difficulty.

Chances are a good number won't be able to forgive the incredibly high level of difficulty--or, rather, be forgiven by it, especially considering the inability to save in the middle of the game's long levels.

Those with the patience and interest in developing the skills required to play it and finish it will love Enclave. Those looking for a casual, short session won't be able to return this one fast enough.

If you like the combat, you'll be satisfied with Enclave. If you're not, you won't find much else to take an interest in.

The trouble with Enclave is the camera system. It seems geared toward exploration, one-on-one combat and not mass combat, therefore allowing even a group of lowly enemies to inflict significant damage from 'cheap' shots.
Electronic Gaming Monthly

It almost seems the developers spent too much time crafting Enclave's wicked-looking environments, then skimped on the actual game, which needs better puzzles and more compelling character development.

One of the more pleasant surprises on the Xbox, but players must be prepared to steel themselves against some trying play mechanics.
