I would have liked to have seen multiple options available Endzone: A World Apart. The ability to have friends play and help as a neighboring town or even be an enemy would have added something a bit more and allowed me to share the experience with my fellow gamers. Whether you are a fan of the genre or just get intrigued by simulators, this title has a bit of everything from experimenting with layout setups and gives players the chance to see how well they would do given the same situation.

A survival strategy game that centres on an efficient economy. Mundane presentation, settlers merely are human resources.

Endzone focuses of classic building, micro management and optimization of your settlement – it lacks dynamics and complexity, though.

A good choice for anyone who would like to try an experience in an immersive post apo universe at the crossroads of Frostpunk and Banished.

Apart from poorly realized battles and too much micromanagement, Endzone: A World Apart is a solid city-builder with a strong emphasis on survival. My greatest concern is that it failed to evoke any emotions. People died and I just didn’t care, because despite the post-apocalyptic setting the game is almost idyllic. Don’t expect to be torn apart by tough decisions – it’s no Frostpunk.

Endzone is a polished title that has no bugs or any technical issues. It is an interesting game for fans of city builders looking for a new challenge (and a high difficulty level). Unfortunately, after building a complete settlement, the gameplay became pointless because of irritating (and ultimately boring) micro-management.

Endzone is solid all round, it looks good, plays well and the setting is a smart choice for a Banished-style city builder. Some issues with balancing (damn those storms!) and some underdeveloped features - like science, combat or decrees - prevent it from reaching its full potential. The foundation, however, is pretty great and I am looking forward to the upcoming add-on which should arrive later this year.

Endzone: A World Apart shows a much more conventional post-apocalyptic world than Frostpunk, and is also a much more conventional game.

This strategy builder is far too shallow and simple to recommend. You’ll find yourself bored and exhausted before you know it and there’s nothing fun waiting for you later.
