It's a very fun game but it requires an open mind.

It shouldn't work, but it's most certainly a triumph.

It may look unassuming, but beneath its well-crafted RTS-lite design, Eufloria speaks to a much more powerful message than many games attempt. It subtly explores the very basic themes that RTSes take for granted, and asks players to find that meaning. In that, it's extremely successful.

Originality is the hallmark of a great game and while Eufloria has its flaws – it's rather repetitive due to a lack of variation – it more than makes up for it with its unique premise and ditto execution.

Small frustrations and a wonky camera keep an otherwise stylish RTS-lite from being brilliant, but Eufloria is one of the more interesting strategy titles.

Eufloria is an ambitious game in constant search of a way to properly engage the player.

Clear, calm, yet demanding: Eufloria's gameplay is simply convincing. A lot of love went into this game, whose only shortcoming is the lack of a multiplayer option.

Conquer, travel from comet to comet and rule the universe while destroying viruses. Quite original, but not enough depth to keep you entertained for days on end.

Eufloria is a great concept that just feels a little undercooked.

An interesting, and often enjoyable game that could have been so much more. It's evocative visuals and haunting soundtrack make it a true sensory delight and the design concept behind it -- a mellow, minimalist RTS with an arboreal motif -- is inspired stuff. That's why its shortcomings, including abundant downtime and no multiplayer support, feel so frustrating.

This soothing strategy title's mellow vibe and simplistic visuals make it a neat downloadable distraction, but some frustrating quirks keep it from greatness.

GameSpot October 5, 2011
Eufloria offers a unique real-time strategy experience that stumbles just shy of greatness.

It has a look all its own, and the dreamy, ambient score would make for great mood music in an opium den. It is, however, hindered by its controls and a lack of gameplay variety, which doesn't much evolve over its 10 hour campaign.

Eufloria brings a much-needed minimalist take on the 'RTS' genre and does so quite well.

Only cumbersome controls steer this shy of a more eufloric score.

Eufloria is a basic strategy game that can be both frustrating and entertaining. The overall simplicity might not be enticing for more seasoned fans of the genre, and the slow pace will prove maddening to those expecting more action at a faster pace.

Eufloria is a really weird RTS which will appeal especially newcomers to the genre. It's easy to play but becomes very challenging later on and its hypnotical visuals are refreshing and fun. However, the lack of depth and erratic difficulty can be frustrating as much as the terrible control system.

Eufloria is a frustrating experience because of how good it could have been and it's even more frustrating because criticism of the first version hasn't been properly addressed. It has some great, fresh mechanics and they mostly work, but it just isn't satisfying or engaging in the end.
