From the graphics to the sound to the razor sharp control and even the international broadcast standards, this game has it all.

The controls are great, it's exceptionally playable, and if you're a real gearhead you should be very excited.

One of the greatest elements to F1 2001 is the controls, you can choose to use the Dual Shock 2 or the Gran Turismo 3 wheel, both of them offer great response to the F1 car.

If you like F1 games than you will cherish every moment spent with this title.

Although some aspects of the game may disappoint some racers who have a lot of experience with past F1 games, it allows for a nice balance between arcade and simulation game play.

Very few have managed to walk the fine line between appealing to the masses and appealing to those who require the utmost level of realism, but that's precisely what EA's F1 2001 for the PlayStation 2 does.

The main benefit over the original is the game's expanded challenge mode.

As far as the AI is concerned, when the opposition difficulty is turned up to hard, it's extremely competitive and feels realistic. There's not as much cheating going on in comparison to past effort by EA.

The graphics are impressive and the sense of speed is top notch too.

The varying graphic quality grates somewhat, but it controls well and the game experience is enjoyable. Ultimately, that's what matters and F1 2001 stands out as a great example of what F1 racing can be.

Play with traction control, ABS, weather conditions, damage and more in the handy options screen. You'll even be able to turn on the FIA rules or try your hand at interactive pit stops. I love choices.
