Flight Control Critic Reviews

So Flight Control hasn't overstayed its welcome quite yet.

Flight Control is a great game, and a perfect example of what makes casual gaming great. The version for WiiWare, however, is somewhat lacking. Everything the WiiWare version does, other versions do the same backwards and in heels. That doesn't make Flight Control on WiiWare bad at all; it's just not the definitive version of this addictive and awesome game.

Simplistic in the visuals, but with an addictive goal and well designed, even with the limitations of this WiiWare version, it is worth taking a chance on this success of Firemint, if you cannot play it on another system.

Fundamentally Flight Control is strong, a fast-paced and surprisingly complex puzzle title with plenty of variety. The biggest issues come from the porting process and the additions implemented, namely that the multiplayer is mostly redundant and the pacing does not adapt to suit the decidedly different input method of the Wii.

Better versions exist elsewhere (on DSi, for one) for less.

A slight iPhone game that feels even slighter on Wii. Get Airport Mania instead.
