It really can teach you to appreciate the nuances of racing and may even renew your love of cars. For a game like this, we think that's the best compliment we can give it.

In addition to the amazingly detailed level of car customization you can do under the hood to affect car performance, Forza’s popular painting tools are back, with even more stencils and paint layers from which to craft amazing looking graphics.

With dozens and dozens of hours of single player on top of an online mode that should provide for hundreds of hours of pure enjoyment, the game is an absolute steal.

Gamer 2.0 May 20, 2024
It has more of what made the first one great, and lots of new features that set it apart from the rest of the games in this genre. With its deep customization and hearty online component, Forza 2 will keep you playing for months.

The downright beautiful visuals work together with solid technical gameplay and an online experience that is easy to get into to make a game that is hard to harp on. Really, my only complaints center around several interface issues which are annoyances rather than serious bugs in the game.

It's faultlessly fun, both solo and multiplayer. If you're releasing a competing title later this year... well, it sucks to be you.

It goes above and beyond by offering a little something for everyone, and by making itself accessible to the masses while at the same time challenging the hardcore.

Boasting over three-hundred vehicles to modify, upgrade and eventually auction off, Forza Motorsport 2 is the most customizable racer ever released.

Racing Simulation games have been done before, but they have never been done this well.

Dangerously addictive and loads of fun, Forza Motorsport 2 has what it takes under the hood to satisfy both car junkies and general gamers alike.

Simply put, Forza 2 is much more than just another racing simulation on the console; it’s the closest thing to the realization of a racing fan’s dream game that we have ever seen.

Forza 2 is a great game for novices and gearheads alike. Play it simple or fiddle with every last thing you can – the game works both ways.

Game Chronicles May 20, 2024
Hardcore racing fans would be remiss to not pick up Forza Motorsport 2 immediately. While it could use a few more tracks and possibly a few less jaggies around the edges, it is definitely the most in-depth racing simulation found on any of the current-gen consoles.

Forza 2 delivers on nearly every aspect you'd want in a Forza sequel. It drives incredibly, it's wonderfully presented, and it's rich with modes and features.

Level-headed and broad-minded, an excellent driving package that's as great as you make it.

If you are looking for the next great racer then you should look no further then Forza Motorsport 2 at this current time.

An excellent semi-realistic racing game. The Xbox Live race options are great. Too bad there are only eight cars on track.

GameTrailers May 20, 2024
Many driving games have tried to straddle this line between accessibility and reality, with varying success. Forza Motorsport 2 is one of the first driving games to really nail it.

There is so much value here for the money spent, which isn't particularly easy to say about a lot of new $60 games. Enjoy it.

Forza Motorsport 2 had to do a lot to achieve its predecessor’s own lofty accolades, and this entry certainly has all the right moves to match and – in some respects – surpass what the original Forza did.
