A fantastic way to spend an evening, and it improves and builds on the strengths of the original in iterative but meaningful ways. Whatever happens next, I’m fully invested in this series. The price is more than fair, and it’s a unique passion project that’s so dang wholesome and smile-inducing. It’ll montage dance its way into your heart and prove that ground pies, picked up and cleaned off, can still be delicious, perfectly sanitary sources of nourishment.

Frog Detective 2 makes up for a lack of complexity and length with its dopey, surreal humor and charming visual aesthetic. An evening well spent.

Frog Detective 2: The Case Of The Invisible Wizard may not be a mystery worthy of Hercule Poirot, but it's definitely worth an hour of your time.

Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard expands on its predecessor’s strengths with an even wider cast of loveable, eccentric characters to question, all the while keeping the original’s sunny charm and humour.

This is an adventure that’ll likely charm your pants off with its low-fi aesthetic. There are genuine laughs to be had here too, thanks to the slapstick dialogue. My only criticism is that the very light ‘puzzles’ are completed in a chain reaction, in that once you’ve done one it solves the next, and so on. I’d have enjoyed just a little more brainteasing, even if the detective work isn’t supposed to be the star of the show.

A delightful sequel to The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game.

Sweet, but short as cup of an espresso. In the time where it seems that adventures are a dead genre, it's good to see anything that resembles on them. And that's about it. Find the chips bag murderer and don't fall in love with hippo. Madness, but a good one.

Frog Detective 2 is a game you can hold in your head all at once, and cherish. I think it’s great.

All of the mechanics are just excuses for you to interact with the writing as much as possible. They’re how you learn more about the strange logic of this world of lobster cops, wizard eBay, and lions who watch too many pirate movies. It’s a great way to spend 90 minutes — especially if you need some time alone to unwind this holiday season.
