My only real complaint against the game is that it doesn't seem to be a huge improvement over the original Legions title.

If you were disenfranchised by the first Galaga Legions, definitely give DX a try. What was once a questionable reboot of Galaga is now one of the franchise's best installments. And if you liked it before, you're sure to love it now.

There may not be a huge amount of content on offer here, but what's there is simply amazing. From the intense action to the striking visual, Galaga Legions DX doesn't sit in the shadow of Pacman CEDX, it stands tall along side it.

It's a fantastic addition to XBLA and PSN, and it's a great way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Galaga.

It's not hugely long, offering only a couple of hours or so worth of unique content, but that's really not the point.

An exceptionally accessible package that fools you into thinking you're doing well - until you observe your pitiful online ranking.

A terrific little game that even casual shooter fans ought to find rather addictive.

A brilliant rehash of a truly classic, stunning visuals, inspired gameplay, and grat fun. Shooter fans can't miss this.

The fast and flashy dual-stick shooting of Galaga Legions DX makes it fun to blast space bugs all over again.

Galaga Legions DX is what Galaga Legions should've been. DX reignites
the old arcadegame in this modern era. It can be played indefinitely
to improve your scores and to head off your friends on the
leaderboards. It's not hard, maybe even a tad too easy, but most
definitely addicting. And that without having to insert countless
amounts of quarters.

A puzzle shooter that gets better with every play.

Galaga Legions DX represents an improved version of Galaga Legions released in 2008 and follows the same style that strengthened the competitive status of Pac-Man Championship.

Even if you just want an occasional hectic diversion, Galaga Legions DX is an absorbing enough reinvention of the coin-op classic.

The retro art style is certain to please fans of the series, and "Focus Fire" helps keep Galaga relevant. The menus are bland, but accomplish their task. This game does leave me with a sense of "Déjà Vu" since it doesn't do more to define itself from the previous iteration, infact if you have Galaga Legions, you might want to skip this all together. The lack of achievements is also a little disappointing. Despite these few negative points, the gameplay is an absolute blast, and will keep you coming back for more.

Galaga Legions DX is what fans of the genre with a soft spot for tactics have been waiting for.

Namco Bandai did some really good things with Galaga Legions DX. They maintained the integrity of the original game and added some fun elements, including the ability to freely move anywhere onscreen, to make the experience exciting. I wouldn't choose this over Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, but it's still mindless fun if you need an updated classic arcade shooter.

A useful fine-tuning of an already solid retro remake, that's more than a rival for Geometry Wars and other downloadable shooters.

Even thought it's a frantic and hypnotic shooter, Galaga Legions DX fails to live up to the brilliance of Pac-man Championship Edition DX. It is not difficult to get through – in fact it is perhaps too easy and definately too short – but the difficulty in posting a good score makes you come back for more.

Galaga Legions DX is a fair game, halfway trough a shooter and an action-
puzzle game. Said that it lacks in duration: the game can be completed in very few hours.
