Simply a great game, and it’s a shame that it’s taken this long for it to make it to the West. As a PS4 release, its simplistic graphics are unlikely to wow anybody, but the fast-paced combat, enjoyable characters and compelling crafting make for an experience you’ll want to come back to time and time again.

God Eater 2 Rage Burst is a fantastic entry in the hunting genre for fans who want deep combat and a good story to keep you invested along the way.

Good sequels strike a balance between reproducing familiar systems and introducing new features. Rage Burst shares many similarities with Resurrection, to the degree that you wouldn’t be blamed for mistaking the former for an expansion pack of the latter at a glance. But Rage Burst is bolstered by a beefed-up combat system and scores of stylish, powerful loot, making frequent, sometimes repetitive questing, more enjoyable than it was in Resurrection.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is the perfect alternative to a game like Monster Hunter. It may take a while to get into and a lot of information is thrown at you right from the start to turn off any player, but for those who stick with it will find a very rewarding experience both for hardcore and casual players.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst arrives belatedly in the west market. Despite the age, the title is still enjoyable and fun, thnaks to a huge offer in terms of missions and game modes.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst’s gameplay is driven by a bevy of missions, some great enemies and a variety of different, interesting loadouts to help make the experience fun and somewhat deep. The shortcomings are outweighed by these positives, though those shortcomings come in the form of linear landscapes, plain graphics and difficult controls.

God Eater 2 Rage Burst offers the best experience of the whole franchise. Not only does it have an abnormal amount of customization, it is also dynamic in its story. Although the graphics are outdated, the game is still able to amaze you.

With a lot of content, God Eater 2 : Rage Burst is a very good Action-RPG game, but it heavily suffers from it's visuals. Looks like it's a PS Vita Port with a few HD textures thrown at it.

It gives you everything you need to feel like a Monster Hunter if you don’t own a Nintendo System. Unfortunately the mobile origins of the series shine through at all ends, while I have to think long and hard to remember a game that would have benefited from a better tutorial more so than Rage Burst.

God Eater 2 is a good game, with the gameplay mechanics of Monster Hunter or Freedom Wars and can be a good substitute until a new game of those franchises. There is the burden of being a remaster of a handheld game, and what it implies in camera and visuals.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst feels like a game that was made in a rush with no real purpose, instead of having a great story to tell, giving the player simple mechanics, nice pacing and an easy to understand character development. Because of all this the game clearly comes across as something you should not play. Give it a chance if you really love the franchise or did not play God Eater Resurrection, otherwise, just wait for it to change its price tag.

God Eater 2 is a very solid Action RPG, one of those that are becoming rare to find. Even though it has its shortcomings, it still offers a very enjoyable experience.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst provides hours upon hours of monster slaying fun, but only if you have the patience to wrap your head around its overwrought progression systems. Once you've broken through the initial slog and you're confident in your God eating abilities, you'll find an addictive action RPG that's enjoyable as both a snack and as a three-course meal.

It is far superior to its original PSP version, but it only takes a small step as a sequel. The series needs to take a leap if it wants to compete. Fans should definitely pick this up, but newcomers would be better off testing the waters with God Eater Resurrection first.

Despite offering very little in the way of genuinely new content, God Eater 2: Rage Burst stands comfortably as one of the finest Monster Hunter Clones on the market.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is a remastered version with a few add-ons to the original game published on PSP and Vita back in 2011. It is a hunting action RPG with an interesting backstory and a lot of pathos.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is a flawed but ultimately fun and fast-paced monster hunting game that provides some of the most extensive customization options this genre has to offer.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst proves that without a shadow of a doubt, the series deserves a home on the console. The great depth, compelling combat and interesting enemies provide an fantastic counterpoint to the Monster Hunter brand, while also providing an exciting new sandbox for players to explore. Unfortunately, there are plenty of shortcoming associated with mediocre port work that prevent this iteration from fulfilling its full potential.
