GT Legends deftly accelerates its way to the front of the pack as the prettiest and most personality-rich racing experience the PC has ever seen.

It is a beautiful thing when a game seems to pull all the right strings. The cars are absolutely stunning and the way they handle makes each of them feel unique. Driving has rarely felt so good.

Fans of Grand Prix Legends will love it, fans of GTR will love it and we reckon it's just possible that a host of newcomers could also be taken in by the thrill of driving the car you spent your youth pining for.

One of the best PC racers available to date. The physics engine just feels right no matter what difficulty you play on, it looks drop-dead gorgeous, and it has stable online play.

When all is said and done, all I have left to claim is that GT Legends is the single best racing game I've personally ever played. Bold words, I know, but I truly feel that way.

GT Legends outperforms and outclasses other racing titles in almost every way.

Any racing fan who likes old muscle cars, or classic exotics, will drool over the chance to get as close as you may actually ever get to sitting behind the wheel of these beautiful cars.

With a solid online racing mode as well as other modes that will occupy your time for quite a while, GT Legends will not leave your PC for quite some time.

The game delivers on overall superbly realistic racing experience, while still being able to maintain the sheer fun that keeps you going back for more action.

GT Legends may appeal more to hardened racers, but it may tempt the more inexperienced group of gamers too.

It’s still a hardcore sim at heart – forgiving lower difficulties, sexy day/night effects and emotive cars aside – and those that rush in may miss the point. But explore and savour each passionately sculpted track and car, either solo or in the 16-player online mode, and there are few games to touch it.

The online mode is not entirely satisfactory, and even has specific graphical errors such as a lack of shadows underneath the cars, and this mars the general picture a bit. And the graphical performance on certain tracks should perhaps also have been optimised.

When the offline experience is so rich, moaning about the fact that Simbin have capped multiplayer at sixteen is slightly uncharitable.

The physics, graphics, and sounds are state-of-the-art, but the always hard to please Dave has a bone to pick.

GT Legends has the power and style of the best cars from the 60's and 70's.

There are certainly a few things that could be improved, but they are minimal when you consider the overall quality of the experience that surrounds them. Gentlemen, start your engines!

There's an odd balance of atypical race cars and super accessible gameplay in GT Legends, but it's a successful one.
