Of all the Harvest Moon games, Save the Homeland easily has the most solid storyline.

Immersive and fun. It's not the type of game you play to beat as fast as you can. It's the kind of game you'll play a little bit every week, for many, many weeks to come.

Easily the best Harvest Moon yet.

It's fun for a while, but let's face some facts here – farming is a job, not a game!

A simplified interface and a stronger focus on plot may alienate some fans of previous games in the series, but there’s an outside chance it will broaden the appeal to a wider audience.

Fans of the series may be puzzled by a few missing features.

I was disappointed and if you are a fan of the HM games, you will be disappointed too.

It’s the strangest example of pointless effort which turns out to be fun. Avoid real life chores to do virtual ones. That’s my motto!

About as much fun as watching your tomatoes grow...If you’ve got an agricultural attitude, patience, and a hankering for steady and safe gameplay, you just might be a Harvest Moonie.

The potentially rewarding aspects of the game are hampered by an overly rigid structure that works at cross-purposes to its non-linearity.
