While Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X isn’t as brilliant as Future Tone, nothing is, and the core rhythm game action is faultless. An inspiring, entertaining soundtrack, coupled with stunning characters, costumes, and choreography makes this essential.

This is hands-down the best music and rhythm game of the current generation of home consoles, though it isn't exactly a competitive genre these days.

Miku has never looked better in her jump to PlayStation 4, with Project DIVA X delivering an array of show-stopping songs and performances that make her latest outing her best to date.

Despite some minor issues, 'Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X' is a lovingly produced, beautiful, and extremely fun rhythm game that stands as possibly the best on both PS4 and Vita so far.

Despite the small number of tracks, what’s on offer here is highly accomplished, and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X’s attempts to bring something new to a rather static style of game are both successful and engaging. Players who can find something to love in Miku’s musical leanings will definitely want to check out their goddess’ latest incarnation.

It's still got some great music and the presentation is as excellent as ever, but it still feels like we've been shortchanged somehow.

Project Diva X is by far the best game in the series so far. It improves the visuals, customisation, music selection and even the performances.

But if you're willing to take a chance on Hatsune Miku and her sugary sweet brand of pop, then you'll find an incredibly well-crafted rhythm game that is welcoming to new players while providing just enough of a challenge for veterans of the genre.

While it isn’t without fault, Hatsune Miku's western PlayStation 4 debut is addictive, compelling and plenty of fun.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X is more of the same but better, and for most that’s all it needed to be. It’s got new songs, a new and improved structure, and so many customisation options that it’s hard to imagine you could ever tire of it all. And so with its beautiful graphics, great animations and classic Project DIVA gameplay, Project DIVA X is undoubtedly the definitive Hatsune Miku experience.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X plays it very safe, but despite its familiarity, it does more than enough to justify the jump to the PlayStation 4 hardware.

If you're looking for a great rhythm game for the PS4, this is it. It has been a while since we've seen a rhythm game that doesn't need peripherals, and this title is loads of fun, especially if you're into the music. If you're a Miku fan, this is still fine if you can live with the absence of modes from prior games. For those players, they might want to look into importing Future Tone instead if they can't wait any longer to see whether Sega releases that one stateside.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva is a really good rhythm game with a gameplay different from the ones we're used to see; the background is the JPop culture with songs capable of tons of hour of entertainment.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X is a good rhythm game with a great visual, deep customization and a nice selection of J-Pop tracks able to entertain for dozens of hours.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X may start off too simple for returning players, but it opens up into a fun, yet familiar, rhythm game. The action is highly enjoyable, even if I was just frantically pressing butons, and I even found myself getting into some of the periphery features. It may not reinvent the series, but it’s yet another solid entry.

The latest game in the “Project Diva” series. It maintains the usual great gameplay and it’s a really fun title indeed but its poor quantity of songs, only 30, makes the game fall below its predecessor.

In the end, what we’re left with is another enjoyable release in the Project Diva series even though this isn’t the game that will convert everyday folks into Miku diehards.

Project Diva X keeps the same very good gameplay, but the playlist is short and there are no more musical clips.

This episode brings some really nice additions, but we also miss some of the removed features. Not the best game of the franchise, but still enjoyable.

Project Diva X is a good rhythm game, filled with an interesting variety of j-pop music. Unfortunately, the tracklist is limited to 30 songs and the sense of grinding is strong even after a few hours.
