Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition offers up a lot of content and does a great job of compelling players to unlock more of it. As long as everyone knows what they’re getting into though I would definitely recommend this game to fans of the Dynasty Warriors franchise regardless of their familiarity with Zelda. I’d also give a thumbs up to fans of the Zelda games that are into arcade-style action every now and again.

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is a fantastic hack 'n' slash title that brings together the best of the Legend of Zelda series and the Dynasty Warriors games. With plenty of content, superb performance and phenomenal gameplay, this is a must have title.

If you only played the Wii U version without the downloadable content, or you haven’t touched Hyrule Warriors before, this game is definitely worthy of recommendation.

It might have taken a couple tries to get the formula right, but Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is exemplary. Much can be said about the absurd amount of content, but what really takes this game to the next level are the various refinements. The item card shop alone makes a world of difference for dedicated adventurers. There's also the enhanced frame-rate, which lends a better sense of control and situational awareness to the player. They are better equipped to notice those subtle changes in enemy behaviour, or realise when a massive attack is coming.

For people who didn't play through the DLC on the Wii U version, or want a portable version of Hyrule Warriors that doesn't feel like a one massive compromise after another, Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is essential.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is just that, the very best edition of the title that has been released. It offers the most content, and a wonderful quality of life changes that make it easily accessible for new or returning players.

The amount of fanservice in Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition will be enough to make any Zelda fan weep, and the gameplay is enjoyable enough that people after some light action gameplay will find a lot to like as well.

Those who have played the game on 3DS won’t find as much new content, but they may appreciate the much improved graphics and two-player mode. There aren’t many exclusive features for those looking to triple-dip, but having everything in one substantial and gorgeous package is enough to warrant considering playing the best version of this hack-and-slash game.

The game sucked hours away without me even noticing, which is the best outcome I could've hoped for. While I wish that the co-op's problems were fully ironed out by now, you can't help but feel that you're getting a lot of good in return.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition comes packed with a ton of content to sink your teeth into. The game is overflowing with fan-service that any Zelda fan can appreciate. With impressive cinematics, smooth combat, and loads of bonus content, this is best Hyrule Warriors has ever been.

It’s safe to say that for those who haven’t experienced this title in its previous forms, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a no-brainer. It features the biggest roster, the most content, and plays well at home or on the go, despite some technical issues. Those who may have only played one of the 3DS or Wii U versions would also be making a very safe bet in this case, but ultimately, this is just a solid choice for any party that is interested in seeing Link and friends (and foes) kick all kinds of ass across what is essentially a love-letter to fans of the series.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is perfect for those who have not played the original game. This a very original musou game and it is almost perfect in every sense, even though its graphics could have been improved a little bit for this version.

It is a great fanservice to the Legend of Zelda series with iconic moments from the various games viewed under a different perspective. A good addition to the Switch library that, unfortunately, doesn’t provide a good incentive for old players to come back to it for one last, third time.

Not only is it one of the best Warriors spin-offs to date, but chances are you’re a Zelda fan if you own the Switch and it’s just a great spinoff of Link’s adventures altogether. Can it get repetitive? Sure, but that’s the nature of Action RPGs like this – Warriors games are essentially 3rd-Person Diablos without the loot hunt. Playing coop is a joy, the Adventure Mode is an awesome addition, and raising your own fairy is surprisingly cute and meaningful. With all the content on display, it’s worth the full price of entry.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition has all of the quality of the 3DS version that built on the Wii U original (and some of the more recent Fire Emblem Warriors improvements added for good measure) and none of the drawbacks.

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is the best version of the Legend of Zelda hack-and-slash experience. While it does suffer from some problems the original versions had, the plentiful amount of content mixed with entertaining gameplay and colorful cast of characters make this a legend the hero of time would love.

Hyrule Warriors is not for everyone, but it is undoubtedly an excellent musou game with a huge amount of content that, together with the theme and characters of The Legend Of Zelda, can please both fans of the genre as well as lovers of the Nintendo saga.

It’s fun to play in two-level sessions, allocating around half an hour to an hour per level, and between the main objectives, optional missions, and side story quests, there’s an incredible amount to see and do here.

Hyrule Warriors is back with an outstanding amount of content and a few quality of life adjustements that improve the basic formula. It gets repetitive and grindy at times, but if you like the musou genre, this purchase is a no brainer.
