Krafton confirms that the early access version of Inzoi will still be released this year.

We have a good idea that the upcoming life simulation Inzoi will be released in early access in this year. However, there hasn't really been any confirmation. 2024 is fast approaching unless the earth orbit slows down significantly. A Krafton representative confirmed this week to PC Gamer, at a game demo, that Inzoi will still be released in early access by the end of the year.

Currently, the life sim genre is at a liminal stage. The Sims 4 is not the only game out there, and the huge audience for the genre is ready for something new. But getting a Sims competitor or successor to the market has been difficult. Life by You, a Paradox life simulation game, was canceled just before its planned launch. The next Sims title is still unknown (it's probably not The Sims 5), while Paralives will be released sometime next year.

If Krafton does indeed drop Inzoi by the end of the year, it will benefit from being the first major Sims competitor on the market.

The most obvious difference between Inzoi & The Sims is the aesthetics: Inzoi has a soft lighting and pouty lip, which sets it apart from The Sims' flatter, more expressive and less realistic Sims. Lauren, who tried out Inzoi’s character creator said that the software is "so beautiful that it’s easy to slip into same-face Syndrome."

But there's more to it than pretty faces. Inzoi has some of the same features as Life by You, which was cancelled before it could be released. These include an open world, driveable cars, and on-the job tasks. Lauren selected the most important details from sponsored videos that we saw in August.

Hyungjun Kim, the Inzoi game director, said at this week's briefing that Krafton has set the goal of updating Inzoi over the next 20 years. He said later in the press briefing that he believes it will take more than 10 years to realize his vision for the game.

"I think there are many improvements that can be done." Kim, through a translator, said that we need to create more cities. "We want as many cities as we can to help people learn about different cultures and countries. I also want people to feel the urge to create so they can create whatever they want. I want other games to function in our game and to be able to play them. I also want to include as many features that creators can use.
If everything goes according to plan, the 20-year run will begin before the end the year. Inzoi is available on Steam in early access. No specific date has yet been set.
