Dress to Impress has removed the ability to color its Halloween hot dog costumes after players, to no one's surprise used it to create penis-themed outfits

Roblox's primo dressing-up game has just added a variety of Halloween-themed items, including a novelty hot-dog costume and a large-sized pumpkin accessory. Dress to Impress allows you to change the colour or pattern of any part of your outfit. This includes buttons, shoe soles and handbag clasps.

It turns out that it can be used to create devious schemes. In the case of the hot dog and the pumpkin, players were adding skin-coloured dyes and a pink-tinged cap that made it look, erm, phallic. If you're asking "why the pumpkin?" I'm assuming it has to do with the fact the Dress to Impress model holds it low to their body and in two hands. Yeah.

Roblox is a kid-friendly app, so the situation hasn’t been spectacular. The developer has now removed the ability to recolour a hot dog costume. They have also threatened to remove the entire car and pumpkin if the users don't behave.

A tweet from developer Studiozac that was posted on Reddit stated, "The misuse of Dress to Impress' new hotdog costume has been noticed." "We will remove all the colorable toggles and leave it as plain hotdog costume. If it is still misused, we will remove both the hotdog and pumpkin accessory. We want to create an environment that is safe and friendly for our players, and this costume was not meant to be used in this manner. "Thank you!"

I went to Dress to Impress and took a look at the hot dog costume. It's unfortunately locked up in VIP prison. I haven't yet paid my real adult money to get it. The pumpkin is still in the peasant closet, and I can confirm at least one of them is still dyeable. How long it will last depends on the amount of pressure people put on things, I guess.

It's not for the first time that Dress to Impressers has done some questionable stuff with the game's clothing. I've seen people using the vitiligo to create things like bloodied bodies, which I'm not sure how I feel. I recently came across a YouTube video in which people dressed up as... toilet paper. You can do whatever you want with that.
