Although hit detection has been spread to body zones, making it so that a sniper can't shoot your foot and kill you, motion capture isn't as satisfying as ragdoll, especially after "Painkiller," "Half-Life 2," and "CS: Source."

The map is extremely large and offers countless hours of gameplay. Since it's played online with more than 100 people, every visit is a new experience.

The new maps make getting into the heart of the battle much quicker and easier, and the new vehicles make battles go by much faster.

A nice offering of new toys and maps, but why on earth did you break the teamwork by giving us such an abundance of motorcycles? Now nobody wants to board my Blackhawk anymore.

Not only addresses the problems of the previous game, but also makes extra advancements in the gameplay. But even those advancements have their problems, mainly the maps and motorcycle.

In fact, one of the worst things you can say about an expansion pack is true of Escalation: it feels optional.

To its credit, Escalation has certainly improved the Joint Ops experience – just not tremendously.
