While it may not be the deepest entry out there-its mid-range budget and development schedule means that it lacks the branching plot and multiple endings that encourage replayability-it is unmatched in its ability to draw players into the story, and carry them along right through to the thrilling end.

The production values of the game are excellent, and I enjoyed returning to Jurassic Park and learning some new things about it, but the gameplay mechanics leave a lot to be desired, and the price for the game is little high given the 5-10 hours of content it provides.

These poorly implemented QTE sections cripple the intent of presenting an interactive storytelling experience.

As great as Jurassic Park is to watch, it sucks as a game by itself. But if you let it – thrilling atmosphere, catching story and soulful characters will help you forget that it's all about quick-time events.

Jurassic Park would be a great movie, but the added gameplay ruins the experience.

Unfortunately, like the cars that shuttle people around the island, this game is on rigid tracks and offers you no control over where it goes or how it gets there. You're just along for the ride.

It's hard to rate Jurassic Park: The Game as an actual game. While it's a terrific movie, when it's sold for PC at $30 for an experience only slightly more interactive than watching the original movie on DVD, it's a pretty terrible game. It'd be worth chipping in together with friends and gathering around to play it together, since it's a genuinely wonderful experience, but alone, it's incredibly hard to justify.

It's more of an interactive movie than a game, because you don't really get the sense of influencing the events. What Telltale Games concocted is a huge QTE sequence interrupted by dialogues and very easy puzzles. I can recommend it only to casual gamers still in love with the movie.
Worth Playing

The game is most certainly not for everyone - especially not with a $30 asking price for a massive pile of Quick Time Events - but those who loved the classic film back in the '90s should find it worthwhile, with a nicely thrilling tone, strong use of the setting, and just a hint of TellTales' sense of humor.

Jurassic Park just feels like an iOS title, and it suffers on the PC because of it.

Jurassic Park: The Game is recommend only to fans of the original film: they will appreciate the quotes and the plot. But they will also see old graphics, a poor gameplay and a shallow work in general.

After Back to the Future, Telltale travels again back in time for its next project. This time to the filmic past of the 90s, a time of really iconic movies like the memorable Jurassic Park, one film that this studio dares to deconstruct through its new game.

Playing this game you can feel the love the devs have for the original movie, and this is the only thing that saves it from total mayhem. There's some good deja vus here and there, but the gameplay and the graphics are definitely too rough to satisfy.

Has its selling points if you're a fan of the series. The storyline fits into the bigger picture nicely and Telltale has handled the licence well. Unfortunately, its simplistic puzzles and action segments mean that it's unlikely to find favor among the adventure demographic.

If Jurassic Park were a film, it could have been a very good one. Unfortunately it's a videogame, where interaction is paramount.

In the end, this is certainly not a bad game, but it feels cheaper than a Jurassic Park game should, and the gameplay is sure to be divisive among adventure fans.

I have to give Telltale a nod for at least trying something ambitious and coming up short. The Jurassic Park setting has room for new stories, but they needed to bring out the varsity for this one and they didn't. Here's hoping they take the lessons to heart and try again.

Telltale Games brought back to life Universal's dinosaurs, but something must have gone tremendously wrong during the process.

I wouldn't call Jurassic Park a bad game as it works and does take us back to a time when dinosaurs (stiffly) roamed the Earth, but the story, animations and general gameplay keep it from being able to contend with most titles on the market -- and that includes other Telltale titles.
