Just be forewarned—it took less than twenty minutes as a casual player to build up a sweat, so make sure you plan your wardrobe and company accordingly.

Just Dance is Just Dance is Just Dance. Ubisoft didn’t change the formula, took a little bit off here, added a little there and focused more on community. The DLC-incompatibility is a needless nuisance.

Just Dance 2015 once again proves just how well this gaming formula works.

So if you can set your cynicism aside and gather your three least inhibited friends (and maybe some of their kids or younger siblings), Just Dance 2015 can be one of the most fun games you’ll play this year.

Though its overeagerness to hand out points and make everyone feel like a winner robs it of some competitive value, Just Dance 2015 just works as a fun, get-up-and-move game, with a wink and smile along the way.

Just like other yearly releases, Just Dance 2015 doesn’t reinvent the wheel but instead take the safe route with the “if it ain’t broke, then don’t fix” approach. We get a new slate of songs and a few new features but at its core Just Dance 2015 remains the same.

Yet another enjoyable entry in Ubisoft's dance series, especially meant for parties with friends but too weak for a solo experience.

New soundtrack and more online options for the king of the dance floor.

This dancer has still got the moves, but could do with learning a few new routines.

Dance, sweat, sing: do it all in Just Dance 2015. It's a fun game for parties.

Of course, the ultimate factor likely to determine whether you keep jiggling your buns beyond the first night will likely be whether you enjoy the music or not, and unfortunately I found this year’s batch of songs a bit disappointing. The vast bulk of them are, at least to my taste, flavourless pop fluff.

Despite my own wishes for changes to the tracklist, fans of the franchise and new Xbox One owners could do a lot worse for in-home dance simulations this Fall.

Community Remix is the only really new feature that Just Dance 2005 adds.

Hardcore Gamer October 27, 2014
Just Dance is a series that’s hard to hate as it genuinely wants players to have a good time, but 2015 is a misstep. Hardly anything has changed and practically nothing has for those who don’t partake in the online functionality, some features are missing and the interface has become too basic.

It would be nice to see Just Dance further innovate as a series, or it runs the risk of becoming incredibly repetitive going forward. Some new features provide interesting wrinkles in the existing formula, but it feels like the series has plateaued and is in need of a few new moves before the next inevitable release.

Not taking full advantage of Kinect is unforgivable.

Alas, the dancing is as spotty and unrefined as ever.
