Justice League Heroes may offer teams of two instead of teams of four when you play, but its superior two-player dynamic and far superior story make Justice League Heroes more fun than "Marvel Ultimate Alliance," despite the eye-candy edge held by Activision’s title.

If you’re a fan of the genre and you’ve got a friend who wants in on it too, then I really can’t think of any good reason not to grab this one immediately and dive into it.

The environments are beautiful and highly detailed, also are the destructible elements like the vehicles, trees and newspaper stands.

Heroes is a relatively simple game that, at times, feels like "X-Men Legends" with DC character models. Still, the chance to take control of some of the most beloved superheroes on the planet is one that you just can't pass up.

With a great cast of characters, tons of unlockables, and a solid single-player campaign JLH is worth picking up for fans of the comics. Casual gamers looking for more bang for their buck may want to wait to get their hands on "Marvel Ultimate Alliance."

An excellent beginning to what could be an incredible franchise.

That's where Justice League Heroes shines: its ability to suck you in and make you forget about the real world's ills while you focus on that rampaging robot problem that Metropolis seems to have every Tuesday.

One of the most celebrated super heroes team gets a pretty decent outing, with intelligent level design and plenty of variety in the gameplay.

A repetitive action game with comic book heroes. The lack of variation and camera issues are its biggest problems. The game is at its best when playing with a friend.

It's a familiar formula, but Justice League Heroes offers something interesting by blending dungeon-crawling convention with comic book heroics.

The most disappointing aspect of JLH is simply being forced to play as heroes you might not necessarily want to play as. I don’t see any reason why the levels couldn’t have been designed a little more creatively to allow for any combination of heroes.

Fans of the DC Universe should more than likely love how much work went into the game to make it actually seem like the comics.

While its dungeon crawler roots make for a slightly repetitive action game, Justice League Heroes is packed with all the right goodies to make this a fun new series with a lot to offer.

It's ultimately still hacking and slashing, but it's hacking and slashing done pretty well.

The game really falls flat, and feels more like a hack and slash title than a superhero game.

On the plus side, this is the first game that successfully makes Superman a fun character to play.

You'll likely have fun with Justice League Heroes if you enjoy the classic dungeon crawl games that Snowblind has previously developed, and even moreso if you're a fan of comic books and the Justice League of America in particular.

Justice here isn't always pretty. But it gets the job done. Barely.

The arcade-style fist fights can get a little repetitive but DC Comic fans should get a thrill out of teaming up their favourite characters.

As good, if not slightly better than Marvel Ultimate Alliance - it really just depends which company's heroes you prefer.
