Kirby Battle Royale is an extremely simple party game. It shouldn’t be full-priced, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad.

A well done new Kirby game with a lot of good ideas, but with a lack of very important content.

Kirby: Battle Royale has potential to make you laugh and fun but, at the end, this adventure action game is not so good. With your friends, in multiplayer modes, will enjoy with its challenges but is not enough to reach the best Kirby's adventures.

Kirby Battle Royale relies a little too much on circumstances. If you want to get the most out of it, you will need a group of friends with Nintendo 3DS systems. The local multiplayer is the best time you will have with the game, so it’s important that you experience this. On your own, the campaign will be over before you know it and so you will come to rely on online battles. You can fight against others, but only in a Ranked Battle setting, which doesn't bring me the same joy. What doesn't help is that the game didn't ran smooth at all online. Kirby Battle Royale bums me out as an excellent multiplayer game that is buried under a poor direction.

Having only one save space is absurd, especially for families with multiple gamers, but at least there’s a decent download play option for local multiplayer.

Kirby Battle Royale has a great premise, but squanders almost all of its potential. There is simply too little content to justify its price point and everything can be completed in just a few hours. Online is lacking, as players are limited to only playing with strangers in ranked and can only play with friends if they do so locally. Despite being one of the only Kirby games without his famous inhale ability, Kirby Battle Royale kind of sucks.

Battle Royale is an interesting spin-off, and it's meant to be played with friends. The online community doesn't seem too active at the moment, so we can only recommend it if you have people to play it with.

A fun proposal in short bursts but it's too shallow to be interesting for long.

Download play in Kirby Battle Royale will give a group a burst of fun, but after that it’s unlikely you’ll return for more.

Kirby Battle Royale on Nintendo 3DS is a somewhat fun mini-game collection, but one that doesn't have much life outside of its three-hour or so story, and a handful of hours afterwards. Kirby is once again relegated to a mediocre little release that few will play, and fewer will remember a year from now. The biggest grievance with this, though, isn't the mediocrity or the lack of innovation - it's the cost. This is certainly not worth the asking price and it would be far more appetising if it was a good 50% off the RRP.

Fans of the pink blob will be happy about this minigame collection that could definitely use more content.

The game is indeed fun on multiplayer, while leaving the single player mode feel somewhat abandoned but overall it still feels like it's a collection of rather superficial minigames. It allows for some fun but it doesn't really grab the player's interest on a long term basis.

Regardless of what you think of Kirby, he deserves better for his 25th birthday.

It just feels like very little is actually on offer for a full priced 3DS game.

Kirby Battle Royale has well designed party minigames but its campaign is repetitive and disappointing. If you have friends to play it you’ll enjoy the madness of the battle but the whole game feels like an extra of past Kirby games and not as a full priced 3DS title.

The short Story Mode and the repetitive nature of the mini games available make for a game that you probably won’t come back to after you’ve exhausted what it has to offer.

Kirby Battle Royale is by no means a bad game overall, but it just has so little content that it barely warrants a lengthy play session, let alone a purchase. The mini-games themselves are fun and well-designed, but the overall package doesn’t do any of them justice. If you need a dose of classic Kirby action, you’d be better off waiting for the upcoming Switch game, because this is one party that you can safely skip going to.

Kirby Battle Royale is a missed opportunity, too repetitive and short lived.

Kirby Battle Royale is a fun minigame collection that simply does not have what it takes to really stick. May be if the online features would work more smoothly, we would be more positive, but those are a disappointment too.
