It’s a rare game that combines style and simple, brilliant play, and a very worthy choice for King of the PS2 platformers.

Oh sweet mother of mercy, this is why I picked up a joystick in the first place. Klonoa 2 is as close to a flawless game as I've ever seen.

A prime lesson on simple yet addictive gameplay with awe-inspiring visuals—a blend that no gamer should miss.

The music almost has a Mario-like atmosphere to it although with some weird Japanese sound to it, which is great to hear while playing a platformer.

While the story isn't quite as moving as the original, Klonoa 2 has a wonderful mix of action, great control, nice challenge (if you try to really complete the game), and just beautiful presentation.

With the aid of PS2 graphics, not only is Klonoa the star of a superior platformer, he's the star of one of the most beautiful games available.

I can’t think of the last time I sat down to play a game and I smiled so much that my face actually started to hurt. That’s what Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil did for me.

This is crack cocaine, lottery tickets, booze, coffee and your-Robert Downey Jr.-consumed-drug-of-choice addiction of choice, all squeezed into a playable PS2 platforming experience that runs/talk/looks like a 2.5D duck.

Casual gamers will no doubt be driven off by its lack of special items and overall difficulty, but for those who can appreciate this type of game, it is a rich and beautiful experience that leaves one craving another sequel.

Because of its airtight gameplay, awesome visuals, and great soundtrack, Klonoa 2 is an almost perfect platform game--almost.

This one is a little joy to play that’s packed with an innocence that will fail to raise bile in the mouths of even those for whom fluffy white bunnies amount to nothing more than medical testing fodder.

While not as innovative and different as I had hoped it to be, there is no denying that Klonoa 2 kicks the same amount of butt that it's predecessor did.

Falls just shy of a perfect platformer, but comes darn close to being one of the best I've ever played.

It’s a very straightforward pseudo-3D platform game that’s loaded with character and some truly magical visuals.

Despite the wealth of eye-candy, the true brilliance behind the game is the sharp level design.

Although the game has a story, plot has never been the strong point of any platformer. In the case of "Klonoa" it's more saccharine than usual and indulges in the same plodding mumbo-jumbo found in console RPGs.

It's a short ride, but one that's filled with wondrous images, an engrossing story and solid, thoroughly entertaining gameplay.

All in all it's not really much of a replay incentive as the levels are fairly simplistic and very linear. However, it's worth hanging on to the game solely because it can be hard to find, and also because it's a unique experience on the PS2.
