Knocks away the often daunting atmosphere of RPG titles and appeals to the masses with humour, quirkiness and charm.

If you’ve somehow never played the first game and are in the wheelhouse for the inside jokes that Knights of Pen and Paper II relies on so heavily, you’re likely going to find it a creative and clever revelation.

Knights of Pen and Paper 2 is more of the same. And it's still full of heart, wit, and grind.

Like the original, only better.

The amusing dialogue is backed by fun class designs and sturdy turn-based mechanics that make for gameplay that's solid, even if it never quite reaches its full potential.

The refinement of the combat has gone a long way to mitigate the tedium of the first game, but the humor and plot won't do much to keep you engaged.

There’s more depth to the game with more nuanced battles and more player creation options, and a very self aware plot and sense of humour. Though the fighting can start to feel repetitive, it’s a great fit for bite sized gaming on the go.

Knights Of Pen & Paper 2 is close enough to the first game that you won't have a bad time playing through it, but as a sequel, it's pretty disappointing

There's little here to risk the paper cuts for.

It’s basically grinding for 8+ hours with nothing to really show for it and, unlike its forebear, doesn’t even have the humor to hold your interest all the way through
