A new way to look at RTS games and a great story that may change how you view those "other" RTS games.

It made me wonder a little why it wasn't just a good expansion. For while the game is still good, and there have been some new units and maps added, the gameplay is almost exactly the same as the original.

We’re lucky enough to be blessed with two Kohan games in one calendar year that both deliver some of the best RTS action we’ve seen in a while.

Ahriman's Gift is one of the best that the genre has to offer. If you buy any RTS game this year, make sure you check out the Kohans.

A baby-step improvement, not a must-have for owners of the first game.

Though Ahriman's Gift is far superior to the original Kohan, it still feels like the same experience.

Those who played the original will simply find the same game in a new package...If you've never taken up arms in the Kohan universe, this is your second chance to introduce yourself to a new brand of real-time strategy game--and you shouldn't miss it again.

Kohan is one of the few that not only mixes resource management and solid tactical play, but a couple of turn-based wargaming conventions to boot.

But for all these minor changes, Kohan still feels like the same game. Perhaps worst of all is the fact that the multiplayer community is now effectively split in two. Ahriman's Gift won't work with the original game.
