“Modest” is the first word that comes to mind. Modest graphics, modest story about EEEEVIL, Diablo-esque gameplay... Except it’s not – the amount of skill customization is staggering, and unlike Path of Exile, you can change your build on the fly.

Last Epoch is an ARPG that has great ideas on paper but often stumbles when trying to implement them. But if you somehow persist in climbing that first ramp, the rest goes downhill anyway.
