Not only that, but it's so full to the brim with things to do, we could have probably spent another three weeks with it and not finished everything.

The tactical turn-based combat keeps you on your toes as you fall deeper in love with its cast of unconventional heroes, accompanying them on a memorable quest for reconciliation. And no matter how long our to-do list has become, thanks to its veritable treasure chest of exciting content, we’ll be coming back to soak up every last ray of Hawaiian sunshine.

Despite this not being the traditional type of story we associate with Kiryu, Infinite Wealth is a fitting send-off to a legend of gaming. In the words of Kiryu, “Even if I’m not as strong as I once was, I’m still me. And I’m starting to think that’s not so bad.”

If you’ve never played a Like a Dragon game before, Infinite Wealth is not the place to start, but only because you will get the most out of the game if you know the history behind it. However, if you have been following Kiryu and Kasuga’s journey for all these years, then it is absolute perfection. It’s everything we’ve ever wanted and so much more.

You will need an ocean of patience to unfold the many wrinkles of Infinite Wealth – to master its Sujimon battles, hamburger mini-games, arcade games, Dondoko Island management, and dating quests – but devote time to its intricacies, and you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful, frequently surprising game that brims with goodness and features a heartfelt, wholesome exploration of the true meaning of living.

While not a reinvention on the scale of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, this new adventure brings a larger scope, with new companions, skills, and a strong story that resonates specially with longtime fans Even though it's still January, this might be one of the overall best RPGs of 2024.

It’s the grandest vision for the series to date, and adds an entertaining dash of culture shock to the exceptional, and unique blend of the best noir this side of Raymond Chandler and the surreal, offbeat, sharp humour. Once again, it really should be the last adventure for these heroes, and yet if the writers at Ryu ga Gotoku have more plans for them yet, be that somehow more sequels, prequels, or spinoffs, I am quite sure they’ll be able to hook us in all over again.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a true love letter not only to fans of the series, but also to Kiryu Kazuma. It is also a reminder that the two protagonists were not created to replace each other: they both have their value and learn from their qualities and defects when they are together.

After risking everything and switching to turn-based combat with a new protagonist, the Like a Dragon series returns with a more impressive scale, with phenomenal and in-depth optional activities that benefit from the humor and irreverence that makes its essence so exciting.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is confirmed as the great work of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios after years of bringing us very good games. A complete game, varied, outstanding in almost all aspects and that leaves us expectant of what they will be able to do in the future to match or improve this work.

Infinite Wealth has made me feel like I've been on a warm, colorful and wacky but fantastic vacation during this cold winter time. The gameplay may be more of the same if you look at Like A Dragon, but the game is very well put together and there is so much to do that you can easily spend hours distracted from the main story with mini-games and fun activities. Fortunately, the story of Infinite Wealth is also strongly crafted and the game managed to keep me constantly entertained. The amount of content can give you dozens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay, and people who really want to complete everything will be able to top that number with ease. Infinite Wealth is simply the best Like A Dragon/Yakuza game I have played so far.
