We can't wait to see what LittleBigPlanet 2 has evolved into in a month or three, when we can truly measure the impact that these tools will have had on an already ultra-creative community. We predict that it's going to be like setting off an atomic bomb.

Yes, it's an incredible platformer, categorically and exponentially improved over its predecessor, but there's a much larger picture that might take you a few evenings of madcap, freeform architecture to discover. LittleBigPlanet 2 isn't just a great platformer, it's a veritable celebration of creativity.

Little Big Planet 2 is the perfect platform for future game designers. Media Molecule have done a great job with this incredible editor, creating a superior gaming tool for dummies. If you're planning to buy this game looking for a platform game, skip it and try something else. LBP2 is not a simple videogame, but the perfect editing tool for videogames lovers.

Adding so much as to be a little intimidating at first, LBP2 brings a slew of impressive new creator features, while still offering plenty of cool new things for those who just want to play. The basic, flawed platforming of the original is still there, but compared to the possibilities LBP2 opens up, it's insignificant.

No matter what camp you belong in, LittleBigPlanet 2 is phenomenal. It's the first big game of 2011, and it may very well turn out to be one of the best experiences of the whole year.

There's no way you can seriously sit down and play LittleBigPlanet 2 and not have a smile on your face the entire time.

Buying the game is buying into its potential. Its prefabricated campaign is fun enough - especially with four players - but experimenting with its Create mode is hugely addictive, and imaginative players will find themselves sucked in for hours on end.

If the Sandbox idea exists in many games, LittleBigPlanet 2 goes far beyond, almost inventing a new genre we could call "toybox". The user can become a true game designer, and draw inspiration from the really nice Story mode and the multiplayer mini-games, all the way up to designing the proverbial cherry on the cake.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is an incredible package assuming you know what you are getting into. This is a game where you are going to get more out of by putting more into. If you are going to put the work into it though, you won't regret it as the possibilities are endless. If you have even the smallest creative bone in your body, you should definitely give this game a try.

Full of simple-to-grasp tools, all with huge potential - and you could easily lose more time to LBP2 than any other game released in 2011.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is everything I'd hoped it would be. Every new inclusion improves the way the game plays tremendously, and with the ability to create more than just an endless array of side-scrolling levels, there's more reason than ever to learn the intricacies of level creation.

Game Chronicles February 11, 2011
There is already a steady stream of additional first party content and costumes being released, and thousands of user-created levels ready for gamers' consumption. Add that to the 2.5 million levels from the original LittleBigPlanet, that import seamlessly into LittleBigPlanet 2, and it all adds up to an infinite amount of gameplay that further emphasizes Sony's plan to make LittleBigPlanet a sustainable franchise.

An amazing game that will ultimately only be limited by the imaginations of the people who play it.
