Lost Dimension is an incredible title, with a constant sense of escalation and drama.

A fun detective-esque RPG that punishes and rewards at the same time through its original story and game mechanics. Lacking RPG fundamentals like side quests and super-powered equipment will turn off some genre enthusiasts, but those who give it a chance will be captivated.

Gripping character work complements deep combat.

It’s actually a fascinating metasystem, which, in coordination with the engaging combat, makes Lost Dimension well-worth playing. The game’s story and other systems are very much in service of this core dynamic of forging relationships and weeding out traitors, which is a bit disappointing, as there is the potential for an interesting narrative and world here. Still, it’s a fun single-player RPG experience, and a fair investment for PS3/Vita owners.

Lost Dimension has its frustrations and may not be particularly exceptional in any one category, but it's a memorable tactical role-playing game I really enjoyed.

The depth of this game makes it a pretty solid addition to the Vita library, even if it does come off a little heavy handed about some life lessons.

In a nutshell, Lost Dimension is one of the most addictive gameplay experiences I’ve played on the Vita in a while.

An excellent tactical J-RPG let down only by a slightly anti-climactic ending.

Lost Dimension has a lot of great ideas, and while not all of them pan out, it's a mostly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Technical issues withstanding, it's one of the Vita's best RPGs.

Yes, it looks pretty nice at points, and yes, its (shamelessly borrowed) combat is executed very well. But the end result is that you're left wanting to consume the media it recalls, rather than feeling compelled to keep playing your way through the game.

Even though the mark might not be very high, we've enjoyed this game. It's great for a handheld, and if you like the concept it is based on, it does deserve a try.

A stuffy story hinders, but its party-whittling sci-fi conceit is too enticing to ignore.

With Lost Dimension, I feel like there is just so much more the game could have been. The concept is there, it just needed a bit more on the execution side to really make for a great story.

All in all, Lost Dimension is a fun and worthwhile experience. Despite the finale lacking punch, the story and premise are on the whole very interesting and ably supported by an engaging and enjoyable battle system. It's just a bit of a disappointment after the fascinating setup that the game doesn't quite seem to have enough behind it to get that one final push towards greatness.

Lost Dimension has some interesting ideas but some of its elements, like the level design or the enemies, just don't work that well. Its gameplay could even even become boring after some time.

If not for the endgame spike in difficulty and the traitor mechanic which doesn't feel fleshed out, it would be an automatic recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of game. Don't get me wrong, though—there's still a lot to like, and it still earns a cautious thumbs up as long as prospective players don't mind a bit of endgame grind.

This is a JRPG layered atop a tactical strategy game layered atop a murder mystery, and somehow, the resulting structure holds up reasonably well.

Those willing to invest will find that the loveable characters and attractive art style provide more than enough incentive to replay the game multiple times, but the generic story and often frustrating judgement system prove to be traitors at times.

Lost Dimension is a well thought out tactical RPG, but it’s the traitor system which is the star of the game. It constantly makes you second guess your choices as you progress, but it comes at the cost of a compelling story.

Lost Dimension is greatly held back by its inability to keep up the pressure of the disappointing betrayal system and its poorly written story. Still, this RPG manages to find its footing with its excellent combat system and interesting character abilities.
