Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a stunning, spooky adventure that puts its hero, and the game’s Canadian developer, firmly on the map. Mario may hog the spotlight, but this Christmas’s best Switch adventure belongs to his little brother.

You might not be going to Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Halloween frights but with so many inspired set-pieces, mechanics and secrets, this is the ghost-gusting adventure at its charming best. But this time Luigi deserves to share his limelight with his green gooey doppelganger.

It’s clear that a lot of care, polish, and attention went into making it. It looks fantastic, it plays even better, and it’s simply a joy to play from beginning to end.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is one of the best games I’ve played in years. I spent every moment of its campaign gaping in awe at set piece after set piece. Raging dinosaur skeletons, suites overrun with plants, a kaiju battle, and a towering pyramid in the sand are but a handful of the sights to take in while playing Luigi’s Mansion 3. I never thought that the original Luigi’s Mansion could be trumped, but Next Level Games has officially outdone Nintendo with this gorgeous, wonderful video game. Bravo.

If spooky, cartoony, fun and charming action, full of puzzles and mystery is your cup of tea - drink no further! If you loved the first and second one, jump right in. If you didn't play those, go and play them, then jump right in. This is a perfectly balanced treat for any fan of the cutesy horror, that perhaps only Nintendo can deliver. An absolute joy of a game, you should not dare miss.

At its core, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is lovely. The campaign is clearly crafted with care and is filled with personality. Each ally and enemy is detailed and expressive. Its challenges are never too demanding and the floors of the Last Resort are fun to explore alone or with a friend. ScareScraper can also be enjoyable, if you can get enough people to join you in tackling a tower. Really, ScreamPark is the only blemish in an otherwise delightful game.

The interesting story, the huge hotel that we can explore, the mechanics of the Poltergust G-00, the perfect control scheme, the multiplayer options and the great graphic and sound section make Luigi's Mansion 3 an essential game for fans of exploration and adventure titles.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is incredibly charming and the best evolution of the series to date. Every corner of the Last Resort Hotel has secrets and the gems can be incredibly difficult to find. If you're coming for the hilarious cutscenes, you'll stay to explore every floor of what this game has to offer.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Luigi’s latest adventure. The Nintendo Switch is already home to plenty of great games, but Luigi’s Mansion 3 falls under the “absolutely essential” category. If you own a Switch, you simply have to give this game a whirl.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the best game of the series and the best game of Next Level Games. A great addition to the Switch's library of exclusives.

This is a huge step up for a franchise that has always been enjoyable but never felt special. Well, Luigi's Mansion 3 is special.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is, without doubt, the best entry in the series. As simple as that. Levels are much more varied and visual astounding, a little delight that you can fully play alone or in coop mode, multiplayer modes aside. Its lovely sense of humor, the sympathy of the ghosts, and the 20+ hours to finish (more for the 100%) make the rest.

Because of the design of a hotel with 15 very varied floors, this is the most versatile, surprising, beautiful and fun adventure so far.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 brings Nintendo’s ghost hunting back to the highest. Next Level Games sign its best game so far and one of the names every Nintendo fan will not ever forget. The new gameplay mechanics and the rhythm goes in line with the balance of action, puzzle, platforming and exploration. The game is visually quite impressive; undoubtedly, the best graphics of the Nintendo’s library so far. A top notch experience that deserves every praise it receives. Excellent.

Luigi returns with an adventure in which most remarkable virtues hide behind his playable mechanics. Nintendo has managed again to create a game where what we do and the environments we travel through are with connected tightly. The game and the player meet in an experience the feeling of discovery is the greatest reward and, ultimately, puts Luigi's Mansion 3 onto the list of the best of Nintendo Switch greatest titles.

Funnier than ever, Luigi's Mansion 3 is a perfect comeback for the series and a worthy addition to anyone's Switch library.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the best in the series, gooey hands down. Its fully co-op compatible story mode constantly delights and innovates, taking full advantage of Luigi and Gooigi’s vacuuming antics, both old and new. Although the dedicated multiplayer modes ultimately aren’t going to sustain repeat visits, they are a sideshow to the story’s main haunt.

For my first experience with the Luigi's Mansion series, I had such a good time. Boiled down it's a fairly simple riff on GhostBusters, but Luigi's Mansion has been produced with such a sense of humour and eye for detail that it has a personality and uniquely Nintendo quality all of its own. Halloween always brings the deluge of seasonably-themed games, and so many of them aim for a true kind of horror. Nintendo tops the pack this year with something that revels in the silliness of the season, and it does so with panache.

There is no better example of the boundless creativity of their collaboration than Luigi’s Mansion 3.
