Mad Dash Racing Critic Reviews

A really cool game that I enjoyed a lot. Unfortunately, because of the horrid rubber band AI, I have to cut off a star from my rating. This really hurts the game in a way it shouldn't. I prefer my wins by skill and not dumb luck.

Perhaps the greatest drawback to Mad Dash Racing is the interface, which can be confusing at times.

A fun and truly original jaunt which breaks the mold of combat racing titles.

It's a good title for what it is - Crash Bandicoot gone psycho.

A lot of fun. I just wish there was not so much going on all the time because I really felt out of control through the majority of the races.

A blisteringly fast racer for one to four players with bizarre tracks, edgy characters, and exhilarating action.

If you can get around the framerate hiccups and seemingly unnecessary load times, this game is a worthy purchase.

If there's anything to get disappointed about, it's that once you've figured out your perfect routes, you'll have little interest in the actual act of running through the levels, unlike most racing titles, where it's usually the opposite experience.

What makes MD so interesting is the three varied abilities of the characters.

A decent game. It looks pretty darn good, has a swell sense of speed, and the music adds to the frantic pace (though the sounds bites in the game are kinda repetitive).

A good-looking game with good split-screen multiplayer but a relatively dull single-player game.

The graphics are cute, but they don't nearly show off the true power of the Xbox like Project Gotham does, the levels are challenging but a tad bit on the difficult side, and the characters aren't as interesting as a Sonic the Hedgehog and friends.

There simply isn’t enough substance to recommend a purchase. The multiplayer is fun - for awhile, but it gets stale quick. The single player is extremely short.

I guess not being interested in the game's rules themselves is a basic qualm.

Mad Dash has an incredibly steep learning curve for a game featuring a cartoon boar named Chops.

It'll be too frustrating and unforgiving for most people to get into. If you enjoyed "SSX Tricky," and like the thought of a harder, half-platformer-half-racer hybrid version, though, you'll probably find it just right.

Fits in the normal expectations for a launch title: visually pleasing with repetitive long-term gameplay.

OK for kids, but more sophisticated players will get bored quickly.

The "funny animals in footraces" genre tends to feel forced. In that tradition, Mad Dash Racing lacks emotional appeal; it’s a character game without likeable characters.

There is just too much to think about whilst racing around the levels. Virtually every single part of the pad is used and some of the buttons are used twice! Add to this the multitude of power-ups and there’s just too much to handle.
