In the end this game truly did stand up to its predecessors standards. It is fun and entertaining with plenty of replay value. It keeps your attention the whole time you are playing. Whether it uses comedy, drama, adventure or battle you just can't get enough.

Majesty 2 has been a long time coming, and no matter what your favorite variety of real-time strategy game may be, you will find something to like about it.

Majesty 2 succeeds in delivering a new kind of RTS experience. The removal of direct control promotes new tactics, especially in multiplayer, and provides a different way to progress through yet another RTS campaign.

Majesty 2 brings some fresh updates and spruces up the overall gameplay to make up for almost an entire decade of technological advances in between the games. It isn't cutting edge by any means, but the modern touch will no doubt bring many new players into the fold. They won't be disappointed.

Despite a modest visual, Majesty 2 - The Fantasy Kingdom grants hours of gameplay and a fun multiplayer.

Indirect controls, random battles, no diplomacy – can this be fun? Yes. Lots of upgrades, exploring the map and the colorful fantasy setting will get you hooked right from the start, including the just-one-more-mission effect. A real insider tip.

For those of you looking for something different, Majesty 2 is definitely one to try out. The humour is light, if sometimes cheesy, and the gameplay is certainly intriguing. Whilst it’s not without its flaws (but then what game isn’t?), this is still a highly accessible title. If Majesty 2 was an 80's TV show, I’d certainly watch it.

Majesty 2 is a better designed game than the original in many respects – the balance is improved, the interface is less horrible, and the economy model is vastly superior. However, it fails to project the kind of quirky charm that made the first title such a classic.

A unique and intense challenge for RTS fans bored of the same-old.

For sure it is not easy for Majesty 2 during the Christmas time against the real blockbusters. I had fun with this game, so you could also try it!

Although at its most basic level, Majesty 2 is more of the same, there are many interesting elements that make it attractive. The economic system is well-designed, watching the heroes wandering by is not nearly as boring as it sounds, and the strategy will keep you at the monitor long enough to become entertaining.

Majesty 2 is a fun and addictive fantasy title, combining a familiar setting with some different and innovative game mechanics, but is unfortunately burdened by poor AI and design choices.

The makers of Majesty 2 call your heroes “somewhat obnoxious subordinates.” That is an understatement. Their stubbornness makes this terribly challenging RTS, at times, nearly impossible.

This is an unusually accessible strategy game in that even novice players can sit down and begin the game easily.

If there was some actual replay value in the game and AI/pathfinding was improved along with some User Interface tweaks I would easily say this was a buy, but right now I am right on the edge of saying buy or stay away. Perhaps in a few months of patches the game will have improved enough to nudge me one way or the other.

By copying the original game, 1C: Ino-Co preserved its charm, but exposed its flaws. In 2000, they were excusable; in 2009, they are depressing.

A solid, yet forgettable fantasy strategy game with some interesting ideas, but a weak campaign and way too much repetition.
